heyy guys I wrote this over on RIU... but I figured I'd throw it on here to help some fellow bros out!

Materials used:

2 - PVC hexagonal (1 3/4" diameter)
2 - 2" coupling (it's about 4" long)
1 - PVC piping approximately 4 1/2" (1 3/4" diameter - length is not important)
(home depot has all this shit by the way)

Notes

Use a hexagonal end cap because it is flat! It is much easier to drill holes (for the butane) with a flat surface than it is with a round one!

Assembly

On one of the Hexagonal end caps, drill one hole (just big enough for the tip of your butane cannister to fit inside of it without being loose - you're going to want the butane to work comfortably)

On the other hexagonal end cap, drill as many holes as you'd like! I drilled like six holes, size isn't crucial, but you don't want them too big as to lose product.

Now, you have those 2 couplers? Put one hexagonal end cap into the coupler, do the same for the other coupler/end cap. You now have a pair of end cap/couplers!

Now for your piping, take the hex cap/coupler with 1 hole (butane end) and get it so fucking stuck on that pipe it will never come off (this ensures good working tight sealed piping).

The end that has multiple holes, put it on the other end of the piping gently! I repeat GENTLY! You want to be able to get this on and off as often as you feel like!

Directions
Get a Pyrex Dish
Put coffee filter in hex cap with multiple holes
Grind your herb and put it above filter
*Make sure butane side is up*
Spray butane into the cannister
Allow the solution to hit the pyrex dish
Allow to dry
Enjoy

Be careful with PVC.

I ve read most PVC plastics can leave dangerous contaminants in the final product when doing butane extractions.

ideally use glass or stainless steel

Most PVC piping can handle butane fine without any residue left behind.. a lot of myths floating around about it though. Granted, you're right some of the cheaper PVC piping can be dangerous, most of it is good to go.

I am always getting this for a responce. If you look into some of the commercial honey oil extractors, you'll find most of them are made of PVC (or a like material). If you want to replace what I did with a metal tube, be my guest. But I have checked the specs on what PVC can withstand, and it appears to be perfectly safe.

But to be honest, PVC won't be effected by butane ()...

If you want to make metal tubing, or use IPA instead of butane, be my guest.

I really like my Okief extraction tube. It works really well, and is very well built. I just wouldn't want to risk any chance of stuff coming from the PVC, stainless is worry free IMHO. YMMV.

its illegal for patients to make this and im glad its that way because we dont need this and its sooo man made that it makes me sick knowing ive smoked bHO from my local dispensery i dont care how clean you make it
humans should only use CO2 or oxygen hash if you are going to do anything besides a bubble bags or a sifter plus c02 or oyxgen hash is worth the extra money i still dont think this is legal for 215er's tho

No offence but this post might be more appropriate in extraction/resin. Peace
