Hood needed for my unit..Recommendations?

Howdy everyone...When I purchased my little 400w HPS, I purposely did not buy a hood/reflector. Didn't need it, but do now. Can anyone recommend a place that's got good shipping & great costs? I'm in the U.S. on the East coast. Appreciate it!! -Snookster

I would go with a cool tube type hood. I purchased mine on ebay for $80 shipped which is very cheap. Here is a link to one for $85. cool tube Another option is to construct your own which is what I have doing for a while now. i actualy make mine a double bulb reflector so the bulbs are ass to ass or mogul to mogul. Here is a pic of one in my ID garden I'm using now. (I made the reflector for about $40.00 less the mogul sockets & bulbs.

If you decide on ebay be sure you dont purchase a cool tube referenced as a "400 watt MH / HPS tube" for $59.00 free shipping. This unit wont fit most 400w MH bulbs and its so short you dont get good light distribution at all.

If you want to build one I can post a DIY diagram for a couple variations I designed.

growell and greenshorticulture sell some good reflectors plus both ship to the states and they have a really good service.
greens will replace any faulty kit without question and both will never rip you off ive been using them for at least 6-7 years now and the only hitch was that greens sent me a box of coco coir jiffy pellets about 1100 in total by mistake so they sent me my order and let me keep the jiffys.
thats about £45 worth free.
honestly i cant praise them high enough.
