How big of a clone can I make?

I need to cut lower limbs on my trees

Has any one tried to clone a stem the size of a pencil?(Whole Branch)

or should I just cut it up?

and give me a break ok...?...I just medicated

Ive been told that Hormex works well for large cuttings. Dip N Grow works on the woodier stock too.

I wouldnt do the whole branch, but that size is fine... I use dip and grow at the 10x line get 90% plus using it.... I do suggest you scrape about 1 inch all the way around the bottom to promote rooting. If you are working with that big of branches make sure start off with a Y then you will have two main branches from the very bottom to help spread that plant out nice and big.

Alternatively Look up Air Layering for what it sounds like you want to do.

It really just depends what route you want to go if you want to completely take that branch out for whatever reason or if you just want to clone off of it? if you want to completely remove id just cut the whole branch off down to the main stem and take whatever clones i could take off of it and chunk it, if im trying to continue growth on that part of my mother id snip around 4 or 5 node regions down the branch and let the following regions that werent snipped fill in over time, hope that helps
