What's the best way to keep plant containers and soil temp. down when growing in containers outdoors in the heat of summer? Any advice

Well....shade would help of course, maybe give them morning sunlight then move them into shade in the afternoon.

What color are the pots they’re in? Dark colors get hot, light colors reflect light instead of absorbing it.

The ground stays nice and cool a couple feet down, plants can deal with high temps better if the roots are cool, maybe just plant them in the ground, get rid of the pots.

That’s about all I can think of. You cant fight nature, gotta go with the flow ya know. :)

good luck.

You can't really fight nature, cannabis has survived thousands of years outdoors. With a good watering schedule they should party on.

u can use dual pots. one in the ground only 2 inches out.the second pot( make sure have drain holes ) goes inside the first one . roots temp stays at 68-72 even if is 120 outside .try with one plant, insert a digital thermometer in first pot then insert the second pot .choose a hot day and u will see

Double pot method always a winner. zamolxe and stonedowl got it right. if you have access wrap or cover the pots in white poly film, panda film. That should help a lot
