How far should I put a 150 Watt Metal Halide from a fresh seedling? As its summer right now the temps are crazy, it can easily get to 39 C around the plant in the light, altough the seedling seems to be doing fine, without heat stress symptoms. The bulb is at the moment 30 cm away from the seedling and it is putting off high amounts of heat. Since I moved the light this close (it was 60 cm away before) I am getting weird/overwatered new growth. The seedling seems to be doing fine with the heat, but It is crazy. I am a bit concerned and I guess this is simply too close for such a small plant. How far do you usually keep your metal halides from you fresh seedlings?
