How many plants per light?

I am starting a new grow using deep water culture and 1000 hps lights.
Going to grow zkittlez strain and was wondering how many plants per light for this strain. I was thinking of doing 6 plants per light.

That should be sufficient if you keep them trained and keep the canopy relatively even and plush with greenery. If each plant got 200W of light without any light leakage that would be 1200, 200 watt more required than the 1000 watt hps you have. Now if there is any light leakage, then that watt per plant can be decreased. So maybe consider a dome light so that maximum light exposure can be achieved. And light proofing.
