How much water? 1gal Pro-Mix

I'm leaning the same way,

I feed plants gaia greens ( via top feed) , with kelp and worm castings.

But I want to add silicone .... I cannot find any " organic " ways to get silicone into the soil.... Unless you gents do?

From NPKs website "RAW Silica contains 45% Silicon Dioxide which is the highest concentration of silicon dioxide available to the home gardener"

What do you guys think? ( sorry off topic )

If your wanting an easier life with organics, go at least 10g pots. Build A Soil recommends at least a 15g size. But that's not so convenient for some growers. I have two 20g pots in a 4x2 tent, it's doable. It will be easier in not having to water as much on the daily (when they get larger) and a larger microbial body to break down the dry amendments your feeding them. A larger fungal population underneath there as well. Growing in one gallon pots you're almost relying on some form of bottled nutrient to keep the plant happy. It's doable, you can visit the one gallon challenge thread and see all the good stuff there. Just be ready to babysit sit that pot on the daily.

Plan is to get to a 5gal , and reuse soil.

Yea , even top feeding takes time .

Hello Gromies.

I have a plant, just started 3rd week of veg.

Soil is 70% pro-mix 30% fertilizer / amendments

So far I feed her 32 oz every 3-4 days.

First time trying Organic / Living Soil. Seems to retain alot of water . Everywhere online has a different answer. Usually going with if its dry finger tip in, then its ready for water. But this stays moist ...

I use 1 liter of water per 1 gallon fabric pot. Usually gives me a 2 day dryback period

I heard if you grind up your old roots, they will provide silica for the next plant?

I reuse everything except the immediate root ball (about the size of a softball) rest just get broken up, reamended, reused

12’s work very well, but considering 25’s soon, the 12’s take 1.75 gallons of water every 48 hours

Speakin of the one gallon challenge, these were the 2 I ran, the first one was the challenge plant the 2nd was… well why do one when I can do 2

And yeah late flower it’s 100% daily babysitting I was usually 2 days between waterings

For watering with liquid neuts, in flower, Advanced Nutrients Organics mikes OG Tea is awesome,

For veg I used (and use on all my plants) Alaska fish fertilizer the plants EXPLODE, can’t beat it for the price $12/liter and I only use 3ml/gallon , I also use fox farms Microbe Brew

Not sure I could do that myself, (or maybe I could). That's a hell of a job for a one gallon grow. In them larger pots it's very close to the "just add water" mantra. I'm doing the "just add water" to a 10g pot and she's doing well. Not the monster you got there though, that's crazy good. Is it wrong for me to say that only "experienced" growers can pull this off in a one gallon pot more easily?

Dam.. 4cups of water, maybe it's the cooler weather here, but 1 cup of water is doing it for me right now, every two days. and I still get run off.. maybe the soils too wet?

So I let it completely dry. Pro-Mix HP seems to dry fast as advertised.

In the mean time , I transplanted to a 3gal . Shes not looking so good ....
