Theory is based on a single anecdotal experience, so take it with a grain of salt until lab- tested with a single pheno.

Here it is:

Root prune when transplanting will cause your plants mature and finish faster.

This will likely impact overall yield, I'm guessing but from the little bit of evidence, but I'm interested in testing this theory and looking into any other growers who root prune.

Feel free to tell me I'm wrong and that I should just put this theory out of its misery. :)

This plant was root pruned - auto week 11

This one was not.

Honestly, they look weeks away from each other despite their seeds originating from the same plant.

Phenotypes definitely are at play here but the difference in the root pruned plants vs the other 5 in terms of maturation is night and day.

Tell me what you think. Am I crazy?

Interesting idea, and at a rather coincidental time I might add.

Just did some rather significant root pruning myself, but the whitepapers and blogs I referenced seemed to, across the board, emphasize delaying switching to flowering light schedule for 15 days to ensure the plants with trimmed roots have time to recover from the stresses of their toes being trimmed.

Full disclosure: I may or may not have read the linked document above.
