Humidity Packs

Good morning everyone
Should humidity packs be present in mason jar when curing or are they just for use when storing?

I use one after curing and good evening Kate . But I'm sure there's going to be a few different answers for sure . OD .

Some guys hate em some guys love em , I personally feel they rob flavor but that could be in my head ?
I do use them to rehydrate if I get to dry fir pressing

I use a lid to keep my jars from dying out.
