I contacted them through email and they replied with a copy and paste from the faq about white fuzzy mold being good. But this is clearly not fuzzy. They're balls. I'm not saying they're not fungi, I just don't know and I'm not getting any help from them. Anyone have any ideas? Does it look like eggs or fungi to you?

No, it is not eggs, it's mushroom mycelium and is a natural condition of organic substrate that's been sitting for a while. Looks like you have a compact compressed dense clod that's aged. Nothing to worry about, just mix it up and water it down a few times. That soil needs to be used soon to get the best out of it.
