I have built another crazy setup, don't know what's going to happen, not off to the best start as I have thrips, treating weekly with neem oil.

The side lights (bulbs) are just over 6w each(18 each side) and the centre heatsink has 10 led( 130w ) the heat sink and side lights pull about 350w each end so in total that's a total of 700w. The room just over 7ft long by 3.3 wide but the Leds are only covering an area of 3ft x 3ft at each side, so that's just under 40w per ft2, the lights spread really good the top of the canopy is receiving 50,000 and the sides are getting between 30,000 -40,000 lux,

I turned the plants over to flower last week, so they only been in flower for 8 days, over the next week they should grow another 1ft, this will be very interesting, all the canopy will be receiving a good amount of light , I could not fill all the room because I would find it difficult to control the heat and the humidity, with 2 plants I should be able to keep the environment perfect.

Here’s a couple of the “build” and then the light in action! : ) it vegges plants wonderfully but not quite so much the flowering : ) BUT! It works for now and im really glad I was able to build it. All those were zipped tied onto one of those metal racks for my germination station for the veggie garden, but I dont need that anymore because I can start those on the kitchen counter with a single 42wtt I have left over. You light amazing, how much power does it draw from the wall and what size is the led?

Thanks man! Each LED is a true 42 watts I believe and there are a total of 12 lights there so roughly 500watts (the sticker on them say true 42 watts) the lights themselves are 5000k bright white full spectrum or so the mfg. claims : ) they really do the trick in vegging but only get the flowering process by OK. And being that it was my first solo indoor run im sure some of the variables of the buds being less solid could be the light or it could be the unstable environment throughout the grow lol! They will go back to vegging plants for the veg room when I get a “real” light some day : )

Say your lights 8ft x 8ft, that's 64 ft2
Your lights would be giving your plants less than (10w per ft2), the lowest you could go is 20w ft2,

The only option I can see is to push the LEDs up tight, so there no space between them, you might get 24-30 tubes, I would check the width first but if you could get 30 tubes in a 8ft width, you would have good flower light.
