I live in the mountains in Virginia. I transplanted a couple Of blue dream plants into a 5 gallon water jug. I didn't have much pro mix so I used what I had left and now I can see the roots at the bottom of the bucket. I do have a couple of bags of pro mix on the way and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to cut the bottom of my pots and dig a big hole outside and fill with pro mix? Or should I just leave them where they are?

One of the reason why people use fabric pot is that the roots can't escape but still get enough oxygen until the plant is harvested...

I’d carefully try to separate them. Cut the jug. Lay them on there side try to let the dirt fall off without ripping roots. Damp is good not too dry not soaking wet either. They will struggle together in one pot. They are small enough it shouldn’t be too hard.

Dump it out gently and separate the plants. Replant each in bags of Pro Mix.

If you aren’t comfortable separating them, which is not too difficult btw, I suggest cutting the smaller one off.
