Really depends on the kind of light and if LED, is it 1000W equivalent or is it a 1000 watt draw from the wall? Many cheaper units describe themselves as 1000 watt equivalent, but only draw 100 watts!

You could do a sog, 100 plants in 2ltr pots, only give the plants a week in veg but your only pull 4 to 8g per plant or you could do a single plant( scog)
Takes 7 weeks in veg and pull 400 to 600g so in theory, a sog will pull a higher crop but it's a nightmare to set up and the cost of seeds etc

12 plants would be a good amount.

A 1kw hps with the right reflector on a light mover will cover the same canopy as a led, most of its down to your setup,


It's good fun learning to grow.

When growing in sog if ur in soil how big of pots would u recommend I'm using organic Gaia green top dressing
