Time to get her a new pot, mhmm? I killed like eight to ten plants on my first run, how would you do it? Get it wet and try to get it out clean with a butter knife? The others are in their pots from the beginning

LOL, if it make you feel any better...I used those "shit arse" cups and still effed it all up....but they recovered for me.

Thanks for the much needed laugh!
good to know, i hate transplanting with all my heart, but i got two plants in one pot and just ripped one out and put it into a cup. She is strong, tomorrow or the day after ill get her out of there. Going to soak it and gently hit on the glass to loosen it.. i could break it even, but dunno.

Ripped out half the root, she is only three or four days younger than the others, thinking about making it into a motherplant. hell, time to experiment. I need more seeds to fuck around.

hilarious, hahaha.

i would let it dry out and see if the medium shrinks away from the side. or get impatient and pull it out as gently as i can. should recover either way.
yep, ill try to get it all dry and take some time to shake and loosen it all up. My mom got parkinsons maybe she can shake it for some hours, will find out tomorrow

I would personally do the butter knife method, then continue in with the break the glass part so you never use it again 🤣

Get yourself some redneck champagne glasses pop a few holes in the bottoms and sides and forget you ever had a problem lol

If you try to cover the glass with your hand by putting the plant in between your fingers, with the other hand hold the cup and flip it all upside down and shake it out catch the plant/dirt with the hand you “were covering the cup with”, I suck at up potting transplanting but this is the easiest way for me to get the plants out. Or you could go the piggy bank route with the hammer as seems to be somewhat a consensus at this point😂✌️ good luck!

Ok wow, lol good work on even having those alive. Clear pot / container horrible idea. Never ever use clear ok.. always Black or red solocup, or Green anything darker and never clay.. never Clear or white.. for canabis..
For many very good reasons.. however I won't dwell on the wrongs and help u with the Rights..
For cloning Mediums and system i use:
1 use coco peat perlite Humas 30% coco 30% pest 20% perlite 10% Humas.
Mix this well together. Drill 4 1/4 inch wholes at bottom of a Solo cup for excellent drainage.. 0 nutrients needed other than root hormone supliment. Either Rapid start or Root hormone powder or aloevera or Pure 100% honey.
Step 1 Take your medium and fill cup
Step 2 add Boiling water and saturate the medium, allow to drain
Step 3 add 6.0 distilled or reverse osmosis water, cold, run it through well till pouring out bottom.
Step 4 wait 12 hours.
Step 5, take a Straw or pen, push it into medium in center of cup 3/4 way down.
Add your root hormone boost into that whole you made.
Step 6 back fill the whole with fresh material about 1 inch worth material over the root hormone.
Step 7 take your cutting and make a small cut in middle of the stem
Step 8 plant the stem into your whole.
Step 9 Add ph 6 distilled or RO water to compress the medium around the stem and place in a environment that's NOT HUMID but dryer. 50% hmd 60°f temp.

To humidity of air and warm will stunt root growth as the VPD is higher in the air and so plant will absorb its moisture from the Air and not the medium.
Water once every 2nd day till water ro is 20% at first light. Once your roots are healthy and thick, allow the medium to dry up till your plant looks Droppy.. then gently squeeze the solo cup to loosen the medium from the cup wall, remove cup upside down, with hand over cup top and stem between fingers.

Transplanting
Prepare your medium. Tske the Cup / container used for the clone,
Add some medium to your forever pot, inusr about 3 inch to start, then I add Pure Honey about 4 table spoons to have some on the entire medium, then I add 2 inch medium, then I add the cup / container into the pot ontop of the honey covered medium. i then back fill the whole pot around the cup / container, add ph 6.0 water around the cup compressing the medium nice and snug around the cup and settles. Top.up with medium. Never Press down with hands ever.. always use Ph 6 water to naturally compressing the medium. Once this is done, pull OUT the cup / container.
You now have a Perfect mold whole for the Clone waiting to be placed into the whole in your new pot medium with Root hormone waiting to help those roots settle in to there new pot.
Place the plant into the hole and add Ph 6.0 water.. top up as needed with medium your using.

Hope this helped some.

Hah, can't wait to get home, i took the hammer out in the morning already, better break the 1,79€ IKEA glass than the roots.

Will try to get the bottom off and gently push it out

I’d still run a butter knife around the outter edge all the way down, tip it upside down like I did in the video (like @BearWater was describing with the stem between your fingers) and tap the bottom she might let loose and fall right into your hand

If you do end up needing to break the glass (hopefully you won’t) you still want separation between the glass and the soil or when the glass breaks it might split the root ball in half

Update:

I did it, was pretty easy, shook it out and put her in her new bought pot.

Also i took a leaf and accidentally took that small leaf down too.

Shell be happy, i guess.

The glass is still intact
