Hello guys !
A lot happened since last update
Everything began when I spotted some weird white spots on many of my leaves :
After a small research, I conclude there was 3 possibles explanations :
1. Powdery Mildew: This is a very common fungus found on cannabis plants. It forms a fine, powdery white layer on the leaves. If present, the white spots will progressively spread if left untreated.
2. Spider Mite (Red Spider): These small spots could also indicate the presence of mites, such as red spider mites, which feed on the leaf sap, leaving behind tiny white dots. If you look closely under the leaves, you might spot small webs.
3. Nutrient Burn or Excess Fertilizer: If the water you use for watering contains too many nutrients, or if you use too much fertilizer, it can cause white spots on the leaf surface.
As my leaves already had a burnt end, indicating a small nutrient burn, ans as I did not found anything after close leaves inspection, I deduced I had nutrient burn.
So I stopped giving her nutrient for one week straight.
Then, 3 days ago, I opened the grow tent a multitude of small white little flies where flying around !
Oh shit, it was spider mite
So I run to my drawer, took what I though was
Neem Oil and start spraying a very generous quantity all over Sylvia.
Only after a few minutes smelling a horrible smell from that "
neem oil"... that I realized that, in the panic, I picked the wrong bottle...
It was straight on chemical insecticide !
I immediately took a plastic bottle, created a hole on its cap and start spraying each flower an each leave with a strong water jet, in order to get rid of as much chemicals as possible.
Since then, I performed 2 other deep cleanings.
In the process, I probably lost a lot of trichomes, but my fast reaction, combined with multiple deep washing, I hope, will be enough to save my harvest of the chemicals...
Since then, I realized that Sylvia have lots of yellowish leaves.
The yellow starts from the border, while the central nerves are still green.
They are dry at the touche, and some of the pointy dents look like burnt.
Which look to indicate a deficiency in P and K, due to the fact that I stopped giving her food, thinking I was over-fertilizing her, while it was these goddam spider mite.
So I started feeding her again correctly.
But all these deep washing may have cause some over watering symptoms because Sylvia's leaves are all bent down.
So I'm going to reduce the quantity of water I'm giving her, and do some little wholes in the subtract in order to better the roots ventilation.
That's it folks !
Lots of mistake at a critical moment of the run... I hope it will not spoil all these efforts.
