Is it unethical to sell cannabis infected with powdery mildew?

Me and another grower are having a debate, I would like to see the responses here on the farm.
Do you think it is unethical to sell cannabis infected with powdery mildew to customers?

I personally have never done it in 23 years of growing, but that's just me, what your thoughts everyone?

i make hashish or hash oil only from almost any infected weed, in most cases the mildew etc does not penetrate the trichome head..
but infected weed itself? no better not do it, even though back i. the day i’m sure we smoked it..

I had to go to the emergency room and get a shot of epinephrine about 15 years ago when my throat swelled shut after smoking my buddies homegrown, don't know if it was the weed itself that had powdery mildew or one of these "safe to use until the day of harvest products" my friend had drenched the plants in.

Well it's one thing if the grower is the only one smoking it, but selling it to people who have no idea is a whole different ballgame.

I think doing RSO if in a emergency would be ok, it would kill pretty much every spore in the iso bath. (At least 30min soak tho to make sure). Never done that tho.

Now Botrytis I wouldn't even make RSO, trash can and be done, nasty stuff, powder mildew I consider much less agressive imo.

But selling the infected flowers I agree should be criminal.

Luckily I grew up in l.a. and knew sfv boys that grew. No mildew in my weed dammit.

I remember throwing about 3.5 lbs of "top bud" in my burn pit, a good friend stopped by he's like "damn smells like a weed cookout over here", I said Im burning over 3 lbs of moldy top bud he says "ah man I wudda took it" ! lol

That's right when I started growing.. most these younger folks dont know about that shit - I remember the picket signs "we like pot we smoke it a lot please dont spray it with Paraquat" lol

Not many things as toxic as paraquat, but damn there sure are a lot of growers improperly using things like eagle20, avid and forbid, miss the days when it was just the government trying to fuck us, not our fellow farmers.

Moldy weed is no different than spice imo. Don’t need no extra foreign bodies on my herb. Now, sure, back in nam’ we have all done the nasty schwag dance. If you bought a bricked ounce, you had 3 grams of mold easy hahahaaha. I think no mold and mildew is basically a baseline deal. Meaning it should be treated like a standard. Some folks care, waaaaaay more people don’t I bet, throw a few racks of loot in the equation and watch how many will all the sudden be willfully blind…..I dunno, I’m stoned.

I think most the people who don't care either haven't grown, or they're growers who are purely cash croppers who justify it by whatever means, as long as they are getting paid.

Iv tossed a few crops over the years, most of which I could have easily sold off. I dunno, I always figured if I don't want to personally smoke it, then it's fucked up to sell it, but I have an autoimmune disorder which is why I started smoking in the first place
I think growers have become overly reliant on clones, but that's another topic for another day.
