justanother multi-strain, micro-SOG, ...bozo style!

i wrote all this below last week and waited to post it until
i had at least 2 weeks to show.

well, the cab is all but finished, close enough to put it to work at least! lol.

anyway, it's been so long since i had anything in flower i just couldn't wait
any longer!

so i flipped some plants last night, 20 in fact, to give myself a head start.

the plan is to start 5 plantlets per week, each in a 33oz water bottle, ala
DrBudGreenGenes, it was his work, documented here that changed my
whole approach. ...he was already doing what i dearly wanted to do!

anyway, as i said, i'll be starting 5 new plantlets every week and, as i have
several different strains, i'll be running a different strain every week.

i'm also gonna try and keep detailed notes and i'll be trying things like topping
and not topping, to compare yields, lets say.

i also plan on taking pictures every week, of the new ones being started as
well as updates on all that are already in flower, again, to try and track what
works and what doesn't, i'm really wanting to go organic!

anyway, rather than rambling anymore, let me just say that my new bud box
has room for 11 rows of 5 pots each, for a total of 55 pots, so, with me
starting 20 today, that leaves 7 rows of 5 per week to fill the cab and then
i start pulling some of the nicest stuff i've ever smoked! ...man i can't wait,
lol.

1) here is a group shot of the '5' i'll be paying attention to as the first week
of my cycle, they are all from the same Lemon Thai mother and they are all
from 7 to 10 inch's tall and 8 to 11 nodes.

2) these are 4 Chocolate Diesel x Lemon Thai and i've grown clones of these
before and it's very, very nice, a definite keeper!

3) here's a couple of White Rhino #5's from mothers of plants i grew from seed,
...i popped 5 WR beans and all were female and now that i'm moved, i'll be able
to devote enough attention to decide which to keep and which to
cull.

4) here's a couple Banana OG Kush, ...i haven't tried this yet so i'm anxious
to taste it, it really sounds interesting!

5) here are a few AK99xFriezeland, ...again something new i've not yet tasted.

6) & 7) are a couple of KaliChakra that i've never grown but i have tasted it
and if it comes out as nice when i grow it as it was when InPotITrust grew it,
it'll be a keeper as well.

thanks man, ...and i've flowered in 2 liter bottles and in 20oz
bottles before so i'm pretty certain i'll hit my target, lol.

yes, very interesting.. those pots are amazing.. Some guy on another forum used a similiar method in a thread called 'root development Vs plant growth'.. its actually quite interesting that 15L pots aren't required to pull big weight.. I'm tuning in to this one n e way, I want to see the finished product.. plants look nice and healthy.. good work fellow farmer

...and now for my weekly update. ...as you can see, things
are progressing nicely, and, while it's too soon to tell whether
the 2x 150 HPS will give me better buds than my CFL op did,
it's not too early to see that i'm seeing buds begin to develop
much earlier than with the CFL's.

anyway, lol, here's the pics. ...as you can see, i didn't have
5 of the same strain this week so i started an assortment
of tasty's, lol.

Let me tell you that Choco D X Lemon Thai and anything crossed with the Lemon Thai is killer. Did you get the more Choco Pheno, bc that was my favorite, to bad I did have room to keep her. I got a Banana Kush I just flipped with some crazy twisted leaves. Nice looking grow logs respect!

yeah man, that is a keeper for sure and i got it as a cut so
it's the only pheno i've ever had of it, ...i actually got a chance
to pass it back to the guy who originally brought it to my local
scene so that was pretty cool.

...lol, i've also managed to get my hands on clones of the Lemon
Thai and a Banana OG Kush, neither of which i've had a chance to
taste yet, lol, i'm really looking forward to trying them.
...lol, they're both in flower as we speak.

Hey bozo, do you think it would help any at all if instead of using individual 20oz containers, I just went with say 4 plants in a 1 gallon pot? like a tightly packed bed grow? I need to get more from my 3.5 sqft, lol..

without seeing your set-up it'd be difficult to give you a
definitive answer but in most cases, a SOG will out yield
any other method, you just have to deal with many plants
and the risk that that entails.

my own space only has a footprint of 18" deep and 33" wide so
not very big at all.

if you're concerned about plant numbers i'd suggest you
try running a SCROG to maximize your yield. ...maybe like
one of these.

Yeah, Im working with roughly 23" wide and 20" deep. Somewhere around 40" in height.

Flower runs 12/12 constantly so even when I had the screen in there my yields were not spectacular because there was no veg time into it.

I've put 1 16oz solo cup clone into flower recently. If she yields well I'll try 3-4 in a 1 gallon.. may have to lower my light a bit, lol..

BTW, using 400w hps in a cool tube in my space.

ive tried this and would refrain from it... even with bigger containers... your better off using individual pots because the plants will compete with each other... especially 4 in 1 gallon...

Thanks Sirius. I'll find a way... got a round of clones should be rooted soon, gotta go find me some 1 liter bottles or some 1qt food containers and get things happening.
