If you are not concerned with yields, good quality LEDS are fine. You save a ton in electricity and virtually eliminate all heat issues. I don't notice much difference in the quality of the finished product, just in the quantity. I have grown the Joint Doctors Diesel Ryder from start to finish with a 90 watt UFO and I swear my results were better than a friend's under a 600 watt HPS. But I use soil and organics and he uses hydro and chemicals, so it wasn't a true test comparison.
