17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? No
18. How much experience do you have growing? 10 weeks, just harvested a nice autoflower

Notes:
I think it's either a root issue or humidity stress, and I'm trying to treat for both. Started hydroguard yesterday, and bought a dehumidifier today. What do you guys think is going on?

They're definitely over crowded right now, but if I can get them to recover the shorties will go to the flower room and the tall ones will get transplanted to soil, freeing up the veg tent for a new batch.

I'm an avid gardener but new at this and I keep learning things everyday. So take this as grain of salt but it looks to me like you have 2 problems..... A nitrogen deficiency and some kin d of pest problem. maybe a caterpillar. ....maybe

The roots look kind of brown where I can see through the bottom and the smell reminds me of a musty damp basement.

I just read about it again and I really think it's root rot, but still taking suggestions. The Hydroguard hasn't made much difference in 2 days. I just had to remove 20+ dead growth tips and leaves (and that's just since last night). I'm convinced my whole crop will be trashed in a week at this rate.

Considering moving them over to the flowering chamber (but keeping them on 18/6), it's an ebb and flow setup and the roots will soak in the hydroguard at feeding time. Or maybe I should try H2O2 treatment, but I understand the peroxide and the hydroguard don't work together. Advice?

I have about a day to decide and take action, I'll be out of town this week and the caretaker can only balance ph and top off reservoirs. They'll likely either be better or dead when I get back. Already ordered more seeds just in case...

@Aqua Man - you around and able to offer any advice?

It sure looks like trouble in root-town to me, but I don't have enough experience to offer any advice.

Well, I decided to go on and do all I could think of: peroxide flush, sterilize the hydro trays, spread plants out better, repoint fans, clip the dead material, make the new reservoirs with just base nutes plus hydroguard, and put out way more pest control measures (nothing on the plants though). Pray for my girls recovery! I'll try and remember to share results next week.

Can you explain the system?

Are you doing daily top ups and adjustments now that they are fair sized?

Just one tip don't use hydroguard with h202 the h202 will kill all good and bad bacteria. What I have done before is treat the system with h202 untill you start to see new white roots growing then stop using h202 complete wait at least 24 hours before adding hydroguard or do a water change and Strat to add the hydroguard and I would also add hydrozime product to help keep your root zone clean.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. The treatment worked and within a week or 2 I had explosive new growth and healthy leaves. Even the bottom of the plants regrew from being practically barren. I sent them to flower, where I lollipopped and defoliated during week 3 and caused 1 plant to herm. it only took 1 day, 4-5 branches grew pollen sacs under the buds. Luckily I caught it and tossed her, the others seem unaffected. It was the plant that had always been the most finicky and stressed. Shouldn't have defoliated a stress prone plant that has had a stressed life, probably should have just tossed her sooner. So many lessons learned in 1 grow cycle...
