Anybody willing to take up running a FAQ thread? Robot Chicken made a good suggestion for it here
I know I would have appreciated there being one before I bought my light. I don't know enough to run it and answer the questions - but I think it would greatly help this forum if we had one.
For me, I switched from CFLs in flowering to LEDs. Mainly because of heat issues. Little did I know, the SPectra 290 I ordered was going to pump out some serious heat (and noise). The only thing I gained, was being able to place the light higher than the CFL, allowing for taller plants - and since the flower chamber is taller now, the heat is further from the plants. Still, I don't think it was worth the price I paid - at this point.
