So after 6 years of vaping shatter I decided to do a winterization of 11 grams of Pineapple Express hard shatter.
I used 10 mls of 190 everclear per gram of shatter. Mixed well and placed in the freezer. Which the temp is about 14 degrees. I left in the freezer for about 27 hrs. I could see the lipids and such in the mix. But, it wasn’t solids at all. It looked like it was milky.
I strained in the freezer. I found only a tiny bit of lipids on the un bleached coffee filter. I placed the mix on a reptile heat mat that ran at 88 degrees ish. The everclear evaporated and I could see what was that milky stuff in my shatter. But some of the shatter goo was clear as can be. So I didn’t vac purge. Can anyone please tell me what I did wrong? I’m thinking maybe not enough freezer time?
Should I redo and leave in the freezer for 48 hrs or til the lipids solidify? Dry ice is hard to get in the country.
