Lost smell in late flower. ????

Used a loupe with my phone but can't hold it steady enough to see trichs.

Was thinking of coming down in a few days.
I'm at day 63 from flip right now.

Or should I wait longer?
My first grow went to seed late in flower so I REALLY would love to have some decent stuff for myself finally!

What I noticed why bud lost smell in week 6 or 7 ..it's because of light leaking into grow room when they are in 12/12 bloom.. light can leak in grow room in many ways ..for example light can leak in from the exhaust or intake. If you just have the single lnsted of acoustic ducting light on can leak in..0r Not using a grow tent
.and the room being used is kind of lined with black and white or mylar. You really have to check most of the time that it has not come away from wall or window.
Cos if one uses sticky tape or staples the heat sometimes makes shit un stick letting just the small amount of light getting in ruins your bud in this late stage which is almost the same feeling as loosing the girl of your dreams .down right heart breaking shit . It makes one feel really ready to give it up ..even autos lose smell if you have them on 12/12 . fellow growers it is important that we all check for light leaks.. I even blackout my Aircon stupid red light which stays on .and extension sockets with red or green or amber light I black it al out ..

273 grams = 0.6 lbs

That's a half gram per watt.
Not sure what I'd have to change to get that closer to 1g/watt, but it'll have to wait a few months .

This stuff smelled sweet until week 7.
Had some nute burn happening so tested soil and had salt build up (over 2500ppm)
Flushed both plants and got that under control.
Then noticed I had some mite issues so sprayed lightly with 50/50 iso/water.
That knocked the bugs back .
Now in week 9 and seeing just a few amber trichs but the smell is gone.

Do these look ok?
2nd grow. Just trying to figure out if this is a problem or just don't worry about it?
Stuff looks ok otherwise ??

Rh and temps steady. Around 50% and temps +/-10° 16-25C

I didn't defoliate enough so that's something to remember next time with this strain.

It's "fast flower" sr-71 photoperiod.

Says 50 days to harvest but I'm way beyond that now.

Will look into baking soda and lemon juice thanks!
Do you think those little assholes are responsible for the loss of smell? (Or my spray)

Check for light leaking in your grow room when grow is in dark period..that definitely makes bud stop smelling from week 5 week 6 week 7 and bud is not a powerful high.it is so so annoying..

It's a bit hairy. I wasn't too concerned trimming it as it's personal.

I think the ISO/water mix made a dent in the terpenes though.
Smell and potency are good but there's a noticable lack of taste.
So i wont use that again.

As for light leaks, I've smoked some great outdoor bud in my time and the moon is al helluva lot brighter than any leak is n a room.

If there's something to that, I'd offer that it has more to do with the timing of that light than the amount of it.

Ie: moonlight is consistent, whereas leaving an led on a device by accident in your room is not . Etc

The seeds. Of today are so genetically engendered they have become sensitive to the way they behave .if they are photoperiod it is essential that the light is correct 12/12 not even a candle light it will ruin the crop..I noticed this because in week 6 they were all smelling and sticky like they should.then along the way it all stopped.i had noticed that Mylar come away from ceiling .what happens is that summer has started again for them turning them kind of like Hermes with little yellow Nana's ..I grow 14 varieties at one time .and all had a poor THC content..

I am gonna do the next crop the old fashion way I will buy normal seeds like 10 of the same variety and hatch them all then kill all the males .then I will grow females then take clones off them and then I will keep the mother of the best one .then keep taking clones off her ..the old ways work with the assurance of getting really fantastic weed I know it's all long to do this it's over 10 months to achieve reliability.. good seed shops do normal seeds.
