What problems caused the small yield? Did it stall due to something? Quite a few growers who do autos get some nice yield per time spent. If it is enviroment or lights changing to photo strains is not going to help.

Damn nice size but I wonder what yeild will be
I’m not sure I’ve seen some huge ones and I’ve seen some small ones… if ur looking for yield u want photo especially since u can hst and lst those and really open up the canopy…. Check out the train wreck tread… there are some great people that comment in there everyday and are willing to help also seeing their plants I’d take advice from those guys they have helped me out a lot

I've grown a few autos. The first time they didn't produce much but I had a bad light. Got a better one and they produce more. More than 5 grams I would say.

I grow indoors though. For yield definitely go with photo. They're more forgiving as well. Don't know what they normally produce but Sour D maybe. And what Amnesia said.

Meh. Have never grown autos personally, it's like something people do as a hobby while they're waiting for growing season. 🤣

For good outdoor varieties with high yield, find a good sativa you like. I keep a Durban Poison and they get pretty beefy here in Southern Cal, though I limit mine with 5 gal pots. Great pine taste and uplifting daytime high, reminds me of the stuff we used to pick up from Northern Cal back in the 80's.

What are your yeild and temps out there and I've been getting a lot of rain lately
In 5 gallon pots outdoors I'm probably pulling about 5-6 ounces a plant. I don't really let them turn into monsters. The challenge we have is it's too hot. Like during flower from the beginning of August thru the end of October, they'll get at least three separate heat waves with temps over 100. It kills the smell and makes larfy buds when we get hit with prolonged heat. Last summer sucked, I don't mind 110 degrees that much so long as it doesn't hit in the late summer and ruin my buds!
