LumiGrow LED Lighting gets a round of V.C.

Apparently, private investors are putting big bucks into the LED lighting battle. The terms of the deal weren't discussed, but you can bet it was a few mil. Developments like this should help separate the competent companies from the cheeseball-break-in-one-day producers. Here comes LED for real!

Cheers for that. But man are they over priced! those single flowering screw bulbs= £165.00 WTF! I can get hold of a 12w ie 1 fixture with 12x 1w diodes with the same spectrum for around £40.00.

Yeah they do seem wickedly expensive. Maybe they are aimed at the mass commercial greenhouse industry?

I've been looking into these to supplement natural sunlight...price is right anyways.
