not sure why it took me so long to try using one, but they are quite helpful for illuminating what you are doing and helping you see better.
so i might be getting old but i've found it harder to get really good light on what i am trimming without generating a ton of heat around me in the process.
now i can have normal ambient light with my subject matter brightly lit and easier to see :)
