I think Mr Oldchucky could help you out with that, he has a wealth of knowledge. Was wanting to start making my own organic soil or supper soil. I just dnt know what to use or how to do it. Does anyone have any info on doing so.
One of nicest and most helpful people on the forum for sure! Probably a little early for Cali peeps to be on but I'm sure he'll stop by later.I think Mr Oldchucky could help you out with that, he has a wealth of knowledge.
I’ve noticed that lmaoOne of nicest and most helpful people on the forum for sure! Probably a little early for Cali peeps to be on but I'm sure he'll stop by later.
Thank you.1 part peat moss 1 part pumice 1 part compost 1/4 cup per gallon basalt 1/4 cup per gallon craft blend 1/4 cup per gallon pre charged bio char.
I use the same shit people were using 50 years ago! Bought in bulk! It works! Only Water and maybe a little recharge during the entire grow!! I’m a lazy fuck!Doesn’t the tread title suggest you already have soil and just looking to amend it for this years grow? If so, have the soil tested and then follow the amendment recommendations. You don’t need to spend a wad of cash on someone’s list of a special secret sauce ingredients.
I feel for you dog & fish.! Anything I try and feed during the grow winds up on life-support!
I think it might be just about the same price to buy like a take and bake kit as it cost to assemble yourself. Also the only reason I stay away from fox farms and other peat base soil. Is the soil is mixed with perlite. Perlite is fine if you only use the soil a couple grows. Over time the perlite wil migrate up and you will have no aeration in the lower portion of your pots.Yeah,Natep is into the build a soil scene I think! I deal with trying to re-amend 300 gallons over winter! Reused FFOF! So only use basic bulk ingredients! Bought four years ago and doled out every year kind of willy-nilly! Using a simple 15 year old recipe by Humboldt local in the beginning! But recent cheap soil tests have shown that things are getting out of whack after four years and its difficult to fix one thing without screwing up others! But I keep flailing away at it and so far it hasn’t been a big issue! A little bit larger pots are more forgiving! If you are using smaller amounts of soil then the build a soil route is probably the better way to go!![]()
Yeah, it can some! I don’t think Fox farm has enough per light so I add a lot more! It doesn’t seem to be a problem in 35 gallon bags! Kind of depends on your circumstances! And the amount depends on your climate! In my book, it’s the second most underused amendment that I’ve come across in this forum!I think it might be just about the same price to buy like a take and bake kit as it cost to assemble yourself.
