These are in 7 gallon pots with soil that is a mix of horse manure, composts, backyard dirt and perlite. I gave them a little power bloom at flower. Just water the first month and a half. so yes

The key to making this work is your final pH of the mix. Done right, you can have impressive results. If the pH is too low, the plants will suffer. I would add powdered dolomite to the mix which should help stabilize things and provide some pH buffering.

If the soil pH is off, pH adjusting the water is not going to matter over the long haul.

I'm not saying to change something that is working for you. I'm making a general statement. Manure is acidic. For most people, they would want a buffer in the mix so the soil stays more neutral. The buffer I would use would be dolomite lime ... not garden lime or any other kind of lime. Specifically, dolomite lime. A table spoon or 2 per gallon of soil in small pot gardening should be sufficient.

Ok so that's something to keep in mind I have 4 more of these seeds and im trying to figure out how to go about it for round 3. This is my second grow the first one went well no brown spots but the soil was much better and i had pearlite no pearlite this time. Just asked for a sack of soil to grow some "tomatoes"

I would mix the old manure hopefully it's dry and aged? with the tomatoe soil mix. Add perilite also, cow poo gets sluge so it depends how big a pot or is it outdoor big pots?

Most old outdoor growers i've known tilled it into the garden soil we did not use it to top dress, but you could make composted tea with it.
Unfortunately have to keep growing inside for the time being. Can't wait till i get my dream house on a mountain or in the forest and have my private garden lol.

That's actually not a bad idea ... just make sure its well-aerated. You don't want the mix to go septic (lack oxygen) or bad bacteria could be present. Use a strong air pump and air stones and only make up what you're going to be using at the time.

^^^ yes I should of mentioned; the horse poop sat in a pile for about six months. I used it to mix soil that sat and got stirred for another 3 or so. Can’t use it fresh it’ll kill your plants.

I’m not super experienced, I’ve never PH tested, I was under the impression if you’re using organic that are aged enough it kinda balances out. Been wrong before

oof that looks kinda serious

@GNick55 @Captspaulding this is beyond my level of experience
The yellow leaves won't heal. There were some nutritional problems but also the buds are going through senesence ... end of life. It's part of the plant's life cycle.

Man it's really great used as a tea sheep or cow but i'd not use it indoors. Lots of bugs in farm poop and i've picked up semi dry poo patties crumbled it and it can be loaded with not good worms. I used a homemade screen to pour it through then 50% poo tea to 50% water.
