and that's ebbnflow?

yes

amazing diy innovation
no algae issues from light penetration?
u could go deeper on the hydroton

I intended to, but I don't have enough to go around right now. I could go buy more easily but then I don't want too much and have to store it. (dumb mental dilemma)

my netpots were supposed to arrive with coco jackets n covers.
they fuct me
if i don't line the netpots/hydroton, with homemade, coco jackets- the seedlings drown/damp off. might give u ideas. I'm absolute shit in ummm... rockwool cause i can't perceive moisture lvl n fuk it up, religiously.
when the seedlings r poorly rooted, or not beyond the grow plugs... i basically have to bury em deeep deep in the netpots n go easy, if at all on coco floor... just scizzoring up one of those hippie, hangable coco planterz that are reminiscent of 60s, corkboard walls. if the roots, especially clones, are 6" deep... i can take the phalic shaft, to hydroton top lvl n just bury the 6" roots, lower... having a bigger start n bigger tuna can style, shaft/trunk... i can tell in first two wks/spurt, a rough weight estimate, upon completion.

I buried them deep because of lack of hydroton. But I also think it helps speed them up to get the roots out faster.

I'm just kinda brainstormin, the less obvious points for u to dissect n c if any one thing, may b of use n your fellow infidel, salt system. keep it on the lowdown... people get banned, for less. the fewer who know.... the more time they'll let us snipe their brighter methods, before the jig is up n they run us off by fork n flame!

I literally taste salt every time I lick my lips.

u ever go seeking new delay methods... I'm pretty sure I've inadvertently discovered them all, bitching about trimming four tanks, all at once... well... listening to my lovely g, bitching about it, anyway.
scrog?

I am not sure if I will keep them in this space. Juggling a few space-related variables right now. I might let em just flower from that size as a mini SOG.

imma catch up on ur thread

i like ur use of the term, "extra", clones... blessing and a curse, eh...
ok, so i c the algae i was wondering about... in an aquarium, green, is healthy.
is the algae a zealot, "purpose", or u battling it? light penetration... or... the guard ain't allowing it, in mine. could b either. no algae, of any color, visible, upon flip days... cept perhaps a light minimal brn coating, one wouldn't c, without scrubbing. probably, salt n shit vs algae buildup. there is a lil growth, on lids from moisture, in ones that go longer.

At first, the algae was just a prediction. I broke my own promise to make any effort to block the light. They are just "extras" after all. I let it do it's thing, just managing ph, and cycling the water weekly. This is the first time I've opened it up since building it.

I just put it back the way it was. I should put some cover over the clear plastic lid. Paint it or drape it or something. But, I also might just leave it and see how the algae impacts things. Smells a bit like the beach but was easy to rinse off and clean."

not just read n c, but break it, with my own hands, but as i keep seeing, "burp"... r we talkin water, or air pressure and if so... and wave works with regularity, what about the weird dial timers, with more settings than common strip timerz? ok... then... how bout air???

the burp is the breaking of the siphoning effect, achieved by the water level getting low enough to let air in the teeth/hose.
I wish I had a real programmable timer. I would have it turn on and off every few mins instead of just being on for 10 mins every hour.
toilet valves burp similarly? the toidy n pool share similar, float shutoff valves... any help?

Yeah, pools use bell siphons commonly. I think toilet float things are different.

Heres an example.

Some things I noticed with the algae in there. At first, everything was honky dory. Within 4 days the water was cloudy, smelled a bit like beach water, and the PH would not stay down for anything. I was throwing so much acid at it and would go back to 8.0 quickly.

Type of acid? algae loves phosphates

Hahaha ouch. Yeah clear containers tend to do that. Run sterile use h2o2. Bit the roots kinda spazz with light. They actually have a photo response that speeds up thier growth to get away from light. Actually just learned this the other day. Specifically blue spectrum.
and a seedling experiment this go, confirmed for me: yup... roots loathe light and not makin em push weight above- they came up significantly weaker and wanted to vine vs vert trunk growth. hope that tells u something new, or confirms readings, etc.
had to break em, for myElf...

aqua always said/says: h2o2, OR GUARD: not both, together so keep it n mind. he straightened me out on it, months ago.

Citric only at first. Was keeping it stable day 1-3. Day 4 it would chewing through Citric. Switched to phosphoric with some citric day 5-7 with little success. Would take 3-4 times more then reasonable, and would go all the way up to 8 in less than 24 hours.
so we wrappin the totes? shiiyyiyittt! i keep forgetting to pick up a roll of mylar, from a frind, too lazy to text me to crosstech her home with it. she doesn't have a/c; just a whatchamacallit thingy desert paces raise rh with. ummm... wanna wrap the light out?!!! i was just nativeamericangiving it back to myself, to sponser peeps with our old gear. whatcha think? same answer as the spray tips- I'd need an address to deploy to n steal ur genius. 😁

admittedly... the concept of shipping... has taken its toll, far as my stress level

realize

one's visions include

anything previously from china

rewrapped, dripping in cannabis oil

with shrapnel floaters

of cannabis seeds

so it's extremely stressful for one

to envision

from behind vertical steel parallel dowels

behind locks and lots

of keys

and years and granular

years of hard timin tears

shower hourglass flipflops

and

3 item shears

just a lil above the ears

by an underqualified

inmate barber

At this point, I am considering either paint it or wrap it in a garbage bag lol. That would be much better.

I figure the roots will bounce back once the source of the problem is cut out hopefully.
