imma catch up on ur thread
i like ur use of the term, "extra", clones... blessing and a curse, eh...
ok, so i c the algae i was wondering about... in an aquarium, green, is healthy.
is the algae a zealot, "purpose", or u battling it? light penetration... or... the guard ain't allowing it, in mine. could b either. no algae, of any color, visible, upon flip days... cept perhaps a light minimal brn coating, one wouldn't c, without scrubbing. probably, salt n shit vs algae buildup. there is a lil growth, on lids from moisture, in ones that go longer.
At first, the algae was just a prediction. I broke my own promise to make any effort to block the light. They are just "extras" after all. I let it do it's thing, just managing ph, and cycling the water weekly. This is the first time I've opened it up since building it.
I just put it back the way it was. I should put some cover over the clear plastic lid. Paint it or drape it or something. But, I also might just leave it and see how the algae impacts things. Smells a bit like the beach but was easy to rinse off and clean."
