My parents neighbor was a collage horticulture professor, he also taught chemistry, he grows some insane shit, but cool part was he could order any type of seeds for educational purposes

There’s a lot of poppies that grow around my parents house nowadays although they are “ornamental” since they don’t get picked or harvested in any way lol
We had the real deal too. Lady we got the house from had many herbs and medicinal plants. Some still live but our last dog always peed on the poppy. That and my wife likes to mow everything flat.

Never harvested but strange thing to find growing up here.

Trying to steal some advice as it looks a lot like my issue. But then most deficiencies look alike to me.
I’d start with light power and fan direction. I’m running my FD6000 at 35” at 20% I was at 30” at 30% once I backed those down the leaves picked up

The kelp/gypsum tea was for suspected cal def and a nitrogen boost, seeing improvement, leaves flattening back out, green returning to leaves.

I’ve given up on checking PPFD from this point forward I’ll slowly increase power 2-3% at a time over multiple days until I see a negative effect then back it off a shade, they know what they need, they’ll let us know 😁

I’ll swing by your thread gotta refresh myself with your neut line

Cool. First run or upgrade test? Hydro start but soil finish?
That’s the plan… for now… may try a single plant full run with a different lid lol

Stacked bins, lids have a good recess, 4” hole cut in the center of the bottom of the top tote, 9 squares removed from lower tote lid

Res is bottom, submersible pump will be in the bottom, standup will run straight up the middle then into the manifold I’ll make, then those sprayers on the manifold spray up, water runs back to the bottom and back down into the bottom tote

More progress

Didn’t have a 3” hole saw only had 2x 4” so wondering who swapped with me haha, don’t hate, used a jigsaw haha

Need some spray nozzles and maybe a bulkhead for the power cord but that’s it almost time to test it out! Just gotta find threaded spray nozzles I can thread into the PVC I know there out there somewhere (hopefully Amazon)

Frostette is gettin close now, just about all the lower nodes i anted to catch up have nearly made it, then it’s time to let them stretch a bit then top… if needed lol bet looks like she’s gunna be pretty full might not even need a round 2, might just let them grow a node or 2 before flip, we’ll see how many nodes pop out over the next week or so

Did some lower cleanup on Frostette and cleaned out the SC in the middle, topped both of the cement shoes in the other tent I think they’ll go multiple rounds of topping, we’ll see what I do pot size wise in a month or so, but they’ll probably go to my 5 gallon buckets next then beyond that not sure if I’ll up pot or flower at that point we’ll see how they look,

But here’s tonight after a cleanup

Plan currently is I know they have a top dress coming up soon, at that point I think I’ll switch to a bloom and flip the lights and get that top net on there right now I’m still just tucking everything under the net each time they get more than 4” tall And can reach the next string lol

Well I believe it’s time for an update all, gunna be a long one haha

Start off with Frostette and strawberry cough, we’re filling in, top dressed micro neuts today using @Shaded_One gaia green method, next top dress will be 50/50 flower neuts / veg neuts for as out a week then flip the lights and let her stretch into the top net I’ll probably set around 9” from what I’ve learned from @CannaGranny strawberry cough was topped around a week ago,

Frostette has the net nearly filled now just one square out from each corner, can’t see them in the pic but TONS of new chutes coming up should be a good one!

Then we have the cement shoes from 2012 from @MDK, both topped smaller plant in strawberry fields, larger plant in peat moss

And then we have a runtz auto for some fun

Shall we talk about the garden as well? Plants are ready to go. 4 Thai peppers where out into the covered section of the garden to test nighttime temps, it’s a bit early but expecting nighttime lows of 50-53 for the next 2 weeks at least, so I figured, it’s trial time 😁 they’ve survived 2 nights so far, this section of garden is specifically for hot peppers, soil was filled 18” deep, then 30lbs of peat moss and perlite plus 2 cups of gypsum mixed in then covered for 3 weeks, idea is to have a microclimate that holds residual heat from the day on the roots of the plants. They always say less water and hotter temps = hotter peppers so let’s see! I have poblanos, Anaheim’s, jalapeños (might just go it be regular garden), habeneros, and Thai peppers

All the seedlings are ready to go, started 2 more treys , sitting around 260 seedlings ready to go, not counting onions, radishes or anything that’s direct sow.

Thanks! Im hoping I can get similar results to your frostettes there beautiful plants, fingers crossed for you in POTM you got my vote (ok fine I’m biased but I could stare at those pics for hours haha) the color you got to come out was awesome, making me wanna hook up the AC in the grow room this summer lol

Crazy to think that, that Frostette was planted and broke soil the same day as that SC I’m wondering if the SC is gunna have some wild stretch
