Ok dropped the next order lol

Some more fun on the way

Just stocking up on stuff I’d like to use during the run, I’ll take a break on buying stuff… for a week or 2 🤣

Next pickups I want will be craft blend, but that’s for more twords the end of the run when I regenerate the soil, but still gotta get some worms, and the ecowitts besides that I shouldn’t need anything else I know of to get this going l, and I can start without those, I’ll run the 5% rule with water and use a cheap moisture meter to get the cover crop rollin while I get the clones started
I have a buddy that does the living soil, and he uses the ecowitts. Swears that it makes it impossible to mess up because staying moist but not wet is essential.

ALSO…

ALL of the Organics Alive stuff is SO choice!

They have a fully customizable organic nutrient lineup where you can buy like (don’t quote me on this ha ha) just 0-0-3 or just 3-0-0 or 0-3-0 and mix your own ratios!!

That was the coolest thing to me, and the flower I’ve seen come from it is sooo tasty!

Sometimes it doesn’t look as appealing, but the TASTE is just…you know ha ha.

Makes sense you are saturating the sensor and the moisture is coming off the sensor. I am trying week4 watering under 25 and it’s under the next day. Pots won’t hold the moisture for me 🤷‍♂️
The trick is to (I think this is what @Mikedin eluded to) get the soil saturated enough to where it's not coming out the bottom. 10% the pots volume of water should do it. Also, if your in flower, your plants are drinking a LOT. You could be watering every other day during flower. The 25 isn't written in stone.. Your plants can still do well at that but "may" not be the optimum.. I have some pots in the Blumat tent at diffrent eco witts levels all doing well. 25,35,30, .. all doing well. And occasionally will do a 10% WATERING just to make sure the blumats didn't miss a spot. A good watering will raise the Ecowitts, or should raise them up to 45... then on the daily they will drop down,, I let them go to 25 and do the 10% wATERING. And still double check the soils moisture with my cheap moisture meter once in awhile. I get surprised how near dry the soil is and plants are doing great, but with living soil there has to be a constant moisture for the bacteria to thrive. I push it to 25.

Haha yep I expect some hiccups, witht he volume of soil to the plant size in anticipating I should be water till harvest, I won’t do that, I’ll keep the cover crop and top dresses going. After the 2nd run I think I’ll do a soil saturated paste test and see what she’s held, what built and what I may be becoming deficient in, kinda give me an idea of a direction to go with upcoming feeds and top dresses, what cover crop to run etc
Or you'll be running a hot bed like someone I know... 🙃😏 Throwing some straw to the top can help with that, nitrogen is used up to break down the material.

Hey Mike I used this coconut water powder and blackstrap molasses to help the microbes. From what I understand with living soil is we need the microbes to break down the organic matter so the plants can uptake the nutrients. View attachment 2373574
You have play a fine line. If they have to many sugars they will live off them instead of breaking down minerals. Use the sugars to blow up the population of microbes and the let them get to work.

Little morning update, kahuna 2 and 3 are kickin ass already a full turnaround and off to the races, color coming back slowly but I think I’ll have those leaves removed in no time. The Frostette took her beating, now she’s ready to show me why I kept her 🫡 she’s already got her top leaves straightened out and ready to rip I didn’t even remove those lower 2 larger leaves they were completely shriveled up and came back (much to my surprise lol, shoutout to the FPF foliar I can see a difference, and I was pretty anti foliar anything ever lol)

But the new mothers are rooted and in their mini tent till there ready to move to the 2x4 so all 3 are backed up still, feels weirded I haven’t done anything besides the foliar in like a week, I’m not used to this I keep going to the notebook to see when I should water next and realizing… it may be awhile 🤣

That’s another thing I noticed is I would do teas weekly etc but now it’ll be whenever I need to water, gotta plan out that tea a lot better now lol

They weren’t the happiest cloning. They rooted but at 70f, res on a concrete floor (with rug under the tent) and humidity never went over 25% that’s why they are all so light and unhappy looking, but getting better as they root into their mixes

So I’m pretty stoked with the outcome actually lol

Getting me motivated to get my 2nd tent going, got stale after trimming 5 pounds lol. Outdoor can really burn you out ✌️

I enjoy the nice relaxed pace of indoor, all up to you, take all the variation out and hit that cruise control button 😁

Been about 4-5 days since I watered minus the quick foliar and a bit around the transplants with the FPF pots are evening out, 4x4 tent bag is very stable other ones are closing in, probably another day or 2 and I’ll get the tops some water when they are down to about 25% only about 1/2 gallon each maybe even 1/3

Wow those Ecowitts are a lot bigger than I expected LOL! Always imagined them as tiny little things...😂
Love the saucer set up under the pot, looks like you can remove them somewhat easily too, genius. Dang cant wait to redo my set up when it comes time, I've had to mop up a few to many times...

Yeah my intention was to limit floor spillage as I know… these pots aren’t moving anywhere soon, they are around 140-160lbs… dry so I wanted to do something that would keep it clean, I can always tie in a Drain line between all 3 and run them off a float controlled sump pump, but I see no reason, I’m maintaining moisture top and bottom and have had 0 runoff and holding mid 40’s on the lower 1/3 the clones are looking like they love it and are really starting to move again few days and we should be seeing obvious new growth

You’re gonna get bored. It’s so much easier doing living organic. No mixing a bunch of nutrients. Now you will be trying to figure out what to go with your time

Oh I have plenty of stuff to do lol, I mean I was running organic before just not to this extent, I haven’t done neut mixing in awhile, just amending with organics and some teas etc, but I was used to watering every other day now I’m barely checking the meter readings lol

I went from the floranova feeding schedule to living soil. I had no idea what to do with my self. From mixing gallons of nutrients to water only was crazy.

Yep 100% Landrino white clover

Was quite expensive but I have a bunch more, will be using it to reseed cover crop as well as will go out in the garden this year I think, we’ll see I do top dress the garden usually around halfway through the season so it’s be a good chop n drop for out there too

It’s be a bit more work out there lol

The 130 gallon no till boxes each have a 14 seed cover crop mix 50% clover
