Oh I have as well colas between the bars haha, I’have space to pull em back more if I need to to keep ‘em lower, I have a ton of room atm, it’s a foot to the next net and they can easily take another foot and I’d feel safe, that’s right where the kahuna 3 was at last run in the same spot under the same light, 2 on the other hand is under near double the power of the last run and a much larger light footprint overall, she’s also a beast I see a big defol coming in 3 weeksWatch out for the stretch. Just made a bas order and you convinced me to get the rice hulls for a mulch layer rather than take the time to ipm a bale of straw. Great idea and thanks for the adviceFrostette is all dressed up in the 4x4 same as the kahunas still veggin she’ll probably go another week to widen out a shade more then imma let er rip
Hell yeah they look great! I was looking at the build a veg, was debating if I needed it while heavy cover cropping plus adding the kashi / craft blend / gnarly barley and big 6 is my plan for amending at chop time. Gunna take some time for sureJust made a bas order and you convinced me to get the rice hulls for a mulch layer rather than take the time to ipm a bale of straw. Going into week 11 on this grow, 3 of the 4 are pretty much ready but this one just doesn’t want to finish. Maybe another week but we’ll see how these trichomes look come Saturday day 77
I dropped the clover, (it’s all under the rice hulls) I covered the clover with gnarly barley then top dresseed with an inch of build a flower then covered with the hullswhere the clover at? still got worms in the soil?
Yes they do
Hermies that require mates for reproduction. Who woulda thunk it? I learn something new every day here on the farm!Yes they do
Hers a worm mating breakdown, worms will mate and reproduce until they feel they are overpopulated or too cramped in their space, or food is too limited to support a larger colony
Worm breeding, or vermiculture, involves creating an environment for worms to thrive and reproduce, typically for composting or other purposes. Worms are hermaphrodites, meaning they have both male and female reproductive organs, but they require a partner for successful reproduction.
Here's a more detailed look at worm breeding:
Worm Reproduction:
- Hermaphroditism:
Worms, like red wigglers and European nightcrawlers, have both male and female reproductive organs, but they need to mate with another worm to reproduce.
- Mating:
When two worms mate, they join their ventral sides (underneath) together, and their heads point in opposite directions.
- Cocoon Formation:
After mating, the worms separate and secrete a fluid that hardens into a cocoon, which contains the eggs.
- Incubation:
The cocoon is incubated for a period, typically 2-4 weeks, before the baby worms (hatchlings) emerge.
- Maturity:
Red worms can't reproduce at just any time. Their bodies undergo changes as they grow older, and at around 90 days old, they become old enough to mate.
Weird right! Ever wonder why you see them in big clumps like groups of 20-30 they are mating that’s why they are all slimey, but then the cocoons are protected by that, that’s what breeders do then eventually sift out the worms and baby worms to raise the caccoons to new rounds of worms really cool video on YouTube walking you through an older gentleman’s worm farm and how he feeds em and breeds em etc, cool ahit, and it’s basically living soil, he uses rotten melons and fruit etc just in chunks and they destroy it it’s cool as hellHermies that require mates for reproduction. The last time I saw 20 or 30 of anything in a big clump mating was at a club in Brooklyn called House of Yes.Weird right! Fuck I’m a nerd for worms…![]()
That’s 1.85 gallons, I’d say yes, nothing crazy extreme but a simple scrog with 4x plants each taking up a 2x2 space, yes defenitly doable you can do the same with 2 in 5 gallon pots that I’ve done a few times, but you can flip em quicker if you have 4 since they need to occupy less area eachHey Mike, do you know, if 4 pots of 7L would be enough for a scrog in a Tent of 80x80x160?
What’s on the top of the soilSome morning eye candy
