State investigates $500,000 in missing medical marijuana oil
Whistleblower says it was illegally transported; firm says it was destroyed.

Here we are almost two years later since the beginning of the medical cannabis program in Minnesota. So far, under 2k patients are in the registry. Hopefully, Intractable Pain (register July 1, active Aug. 1) will increase the number so prices will drop. Also, news of a very serious State and Federal investigation broke earlier this month. Law requires at least two manufacturers but what if Minn. Med is found guilty, faces federal minimum sentencing, and loses its license to operate in MN? Are we left with one ethical company to serve the entire State of Minnesota? If you're a patient in MN you may be asking why medicine meant for you and your fellow Minnesotans is being destroyed or sent to patients in another state? If you're a MinnMed investor you may be asking why $500,000 worth of product was supposedly destroyed. If you're State regulators, you may be asking how such a large drop in inventory was not noticed a lot earlier during monthly inspections. If you're an official or applicant to operate in NY State, you may be wondering why Vireo Health was provided a license if this was possibly foreseeable? What are your thoughts?

This is huge precedent if the allegations are true:

It's all Bs... Is a simple software glitch... it tracked plant matter, not plant oil.

Months later and we don't have an update. I would guess that it would not take this long for the company to prove that it was a "simple software glitch."

Vireo's official response: https://www.newcannabisventures.com...y-accusations-of-disgruntled-former-employee/
  1. "Employee made statements indicating the employee intended to harm our business" -Hearsay.
  2. "Inadequate inventory tracking software led to confusion over destination labeling." -Did they know this before the investigation? If so, why didn't they purchase new software to avoid such a costly problem? Did they express this to their regulators before the investigation?
  3. "Liquid waste materials were destroyed, not transferred. In this case, the materials mentioned in the accusations were being moved and isolated inside the Otsego facility for off-site waste disposal." $500,000 worth of liquid waste? Wasteful?
  4. "We...face no significant near-term financial threats." Good luck proving that when you're destroying $500,000 of material and can't properly record it.
  5. "For example, when we send materials to a third party testing lab or for disposal as waste, no destination is listed because of a system limitation. For that reason, there are actually dozens of entries that have no destination listed, not just the small number of entries cherry picked by the disgruntled former employee." What's this system limitation, exactly? And if there are "actually dozens," why wasn't this issue corrected ASAP?
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2016/08/12/big-losses-for-minn-medical-marijuana-providers
  1. "Minnesota Medical Solutions posted a $3 million loss in 2015, a period that included the rush to build up facilities, grow and cultivate medicine and the first six months of legal medical marijuana sales. The company also said it lost more than $542,000 in 2014." Hmmm.

Just read the judge's ruling in Maryland (MDH-MMCC-170-17-36882) using the discovery evidence in Minnesota as well as Dr. Kingsley's testimony and the video of Dan Pella caught on surveillance footage sabotaging his laboratory computers and equipment !!! Why isn't this getting explored?? Why didn't the prosecutor approve charges against Pella on the eve of his accusations against the company?? Judge John Leidig rips into the MN BCA investigators in their lack of investigation abilities as well as the lack of probable cause throughout the warrant and sworn statements. Can somebody elaborate on where this video is and why it isn't been listed on the evidence in MN?
