I travel for work and my dad is willing help me with my grow when I'm gone. He grows is soil and I would just rather not have him mix my nutes. Would I be able to mix my nutes and RO water on a Tuesday and seal it in a 55gal drum, will it be fine for my dad to pump the nutes and water into my system on Friday where it will sit and feed until I change it again the following Friday? I am thinking it shouldn't be a problem but want to be sure. I am using Athena Blended for nutes.

I always mix my water/nutes ahead of time. I mix 10 one gallon jugs and use them as needed, when I'm out I mix them all up again.
Would be way to inconvenient to do it everytime the plants need watered.
Just give them a good shake before watering and you will be good.

God I’m glad I’ve gotten away from this. Yes you can mix it before you go. My biggest concern would be the ph holding. But you’re in soil so it’s not that big of a deal. I went to a living organic soil. It only gets water.

Not in soil at all, this post is in the hydroponic section.

You could also mix a bunch into a big plastic tub/reservoir and keep an aerator in it, when it's time to add water just transfer it from the tub.

This is the hydro forum.
didn't notice that part but still a good answer.
if you add trichoderma and aerate it you could store it for a long time.they eat it.
or do a water change when you come back.algei would not really grow that much in the dark/shade.
