Hey whats up farmers :hi

I am a big advanced nutrients user and up until now I have used AN exclusively. But I have noticed a lot of people complaining that bud candy leaves an undesired taste in their meds (enough people to REALLY convince me). I have never really noticed because I learned to grow using AN products so every plant I have grown has been fed with bud candy. I know bud candy is AN's carbo load and sweet leaf combined. SO what I was thinking of doing is replacing bud candy with carbo load and adding in a molasses to replace the sweet leaf.

Question 1: Do you think this could help with the unwanted flavor of the bud candy?

Question 2: How much molasses per liter (or gallon) would you use in conjunction with the carbo load? I have 2tbsp per gallon is good for molasses but wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance for the help! :passingjoint:

I use 1 tblsp of un-sulfered molasses per 5 gallons of water in general

Botanicare

i use all an products with the exception of the bud candy, i use sweet raw by botanicare and dont have that cotton candy flavor that bud candy gives your meds

What kinds of flavor does sweet raw produce? Christ why use the stuff at all?

i use carbo load wk2-3-4, add molasses in wk6-7 then flush the last two weeks, depends what i have running, add the kushie kush and bud candy, sometimes both, end result is priceless.

I used that product even went below recommendations and all my bud tasted the same would never use any sweetener again

sweentners are a huge waste of money .... I have great success using gatorade and it comes in way more flavors . it's cheap as fuck to use ... I add a 32 oz bottle to 50gl ... pimp that shit ... sugars electrolytes ect ect

molasses should only be used late in flower as it fixes nitrogen ..

Thanks for all the responses guys!!! Its much appreciated!

Venom: Have you noticed a change for the better in flavor when you used this method instead of bud candy?

Thanks again everyone!

LMFAO!! Anyone seen idiocracy??

On a more serious note, are you saing there is a downside to using molasses erlier in flowering or is it just not your style? Thanks man!

i use mollases on the final 2 weeks of flush

1 t spoon per 10 ltrs of ph 5.7 water

I have noticed the mollassses improve the resin production and gives you sweeter buds, blackstrap mollasses only cost £1 a jar at my local health food store.

well seeing as molasses fixes N , yes it is not useful in veg or early bloom . matter of fact it can be detrimental to vegging plants needing N .

molasses should be used when your ready to cut N during flowering..

I am dead serious about the use of gatorade as a sugar complex and sweetner

funny ass movie btw

I've stopped using sweetners as well. Not much of a difference. Actually the only difference I noticed is that sweetners will create sap bubbles on some nugs. These are almost all sugar and not a giant trich. When smoked they bubble like oil but they are just water and sugar, like a sap.

These ones were from using Botanicare's Sweet.

i think he said 32 ounce bottle in a 50 gallon reservoir started when you cut off the nitrogen.

Thanks fore the info!! I think I will only use carbo load and save the molasses for the last few weeks as you reccomended. I didnt mean any disrespect at all and am sorry if it came off that way ( i know that you know your shit when it comes to this wondeful plant of ours). That just made laugh cus that movie is the first thing that popped into my head....Its got eloctrolytes, its what plants crave! But thanks again for the help on molasses!!

Ahhh thats what those are!! I have had that happen before and had no idea what it was. Thanks for solving my mystery! :bubblez:

Obs, ive been hearing alot about the Gatorade,
When, how much and what flavor.

i use it all through flowering and i pour a 32oz bottle into a 50gl . i don't believe you can overdose with gatorade . i have run it way higher with no problems plus if you get thristy you can take a swig .. would you drink sweet or carboload ..........
flavor can be whatever match's the plants natural profile .... GDP gets grape , cali orange get's orange , kush = lemon lime and so on ... there is nearly every flavor you can think of with gatorade ....

been running gatorade for 5-6 years ... indoor and out

i think he said 32 ounce bottle in a 50 gallon reservoir started when you cut off the nitrogen.

the amount is correct but i was talking about only adding molasses when your cutting N

gatorade is used from day 1 of flower and then all the way through flush

this shit is crazy,,GATORAID??????????? ive been using sweet, berry flavor..i could never get molasas to work for me,,it would clump up to much...im gonna try that for my next round.
