Yep it's the flowering phase that i get them damn bud worms. I'm gonna be spraying as soon as pre flower starts with BT early mornings. I kinda enjoy stabbing them with tooth picks🤣👍👍
It started on my Tomato’s and just kept spreading around to all my plants.

Well the weekend was not so good to the garden. Out of my 20 assorted vegetable plants all but 4 got mowed down by some invasion.

Picked off a few catapillars off of the Ladies.

Photo dump from this afternoon
That’s a pretty rough body count, general!😂 just slug it out till the end!

We are at day 80 for my 2 largest bagseed autoflowers. Hit them with another round of nutes. Still tons of white pistols. I’m gonna say they need at least another 3 to 4 weeks. I just hope I can keep them alive that long.

Will do a photo dump this afternoon

I for sure upset her. Yesterday I flushed with sledgehammer. Once dries out I will come back at 25% str.

Aside from the shit show with nutes. I’m on day 10 of 95+ degrees. They got severely dry multiple times.
Have to be careful of drying them out like that. Some strains, (Runtz or their crosses)】
tend to turn hermaphroditic with repeated stress and you will end up with a bag full of seeds

PS. Not knocking The Runtz. One of my favorites.

Just another brutal blazing day.

Fed the 5 small guys this morning.

Some close ups of Face Fat.

Average VPD for the day 3.16 and it shows plants just not terribly happy.

Week straight of 95+ with feels like temps in the triple digits.

Began taking down vegetables. Have moved plants under sunshade.

The 2 oldest are 85 days old. The smaller of the 2 has really foxtailed this week. She is pretty much out of the big photo leaves.

Kinda debating on chopping since it is foxtailing so badly.

Let’s talk drying. Would love some advice. So I was thinking of getting a second tent for drying. Problem is I do not have the ability to cool the tent. The only air I can provide would be the air venting out of the grow tent. So I’m sure the temp will drift into the upper 80s if not low 90s.

My other option is to throw her in a brown paper bag and hang the bag above the light.

The bigger girl I know it will be at least after next weekend before I chop her. She is getting close but for sure at least 1 more week.

My Atlas seeds Face Fat is 73 days and she started foxtailing this week as well. Will prolly chop her when I chop the bigger girl.

Now when it is not burning your soul hot the drying tent will be great. Although I doubt it will every be at the perfect temps for drying but hey this ain’t YouTube or Reddit, it’s okie if ever little thing is not perfect.

You seem to have a very hot and dry climate there in Texas. Have you tried googling what strains are best suited to that climate. Indicas mainly came from hot dry places like Afghanistan and Pakistan. There are Afghan strains.
I watched a TV series on the Humboldt mountain area about a guy who went there to work with growers and went missing. They said in the 70's a group of them brought seeds over from Pakistan because the Mexican strains they had been using didn't like the climate. Though your climate might be similar to Mexico.
Might be worth a go.

It has been a brutal couple days. Mother Nature took it upon herself and told me to harvest the smaller of the 2 that were coming up on harvest. We had some heavy wind gust that knocked her over and broke the main stem in half.

Face Fat has started foxtailing 😢

Summer is here and it is only going to get worse.

Yeah I got some strains that are more heat tolerant.

But I decided I was not gonna battle the outdoors. I now have a 5x5 tent running with some fun stuff and micro greens and lettuce and other flowers.

I have several still to finish out 1 with at least another 40 days to go.

I will for sure do outdoor again. I will just get them started in January and do a little 2-3 plant run for the fun of it.
