Hello hello! I’m new and wanted to share along my first outdoor grow. I used to grow indoors around 10 years ago and just recently decided to get back into it, but wanted to expand outdoors. For my first test grow this year, I started with 3 Mango Haze seeds but only 1 was female. I got a late start in the season and didn’t start sprouting until end of May, and she’s starting to flower now. I’ll post pictures on the progress, but let me know what you think and any recommendations! 😁

Welcome to the farm 🌲

nice lookin plants
Thank you :) She has had a rough start. Had a huge hail storm at 3AM last month and couldn't bring her inside in time and it snapped a couple of branches early in the growth. It shocked her pretty good and you can see some of the damage in the leaves from the first pictures, but with some TLC she bounced right back.

Yesterday afternoon and this AM pictures. Soil is still wet and rain is in the forecast. I will have to move her under cover so I don’t mess with her feeding schedule. Bud progression is slowly making way, and I have a good feeling it’s going to be a late October harvest.

Sunday feeding day! So far she’s taking to FF Beastie Bloomz well so I will continue to use the same schedule as last week.
Added layer of tobacco additive to help with pH and to keep nitrogen levels stable during flower period.
1 gallon of water mixed with 1tsp Beastie Bloomz to help with bud progression. I will continue to use this until the final 3 weeks of flowering. I will then transition to cha Ching for one week, and then flush. Pictures and more updates to follow throughout the month!

Monday update

Bottom buds were struggling to get light, so I did one more LST (hopefully final) to help get some light exposure.

Also got a nice surprise. Right as she went into preflower I took one clone, and it did successfully take. My veg room is down so I’m going to just let her naturally do it’s thing outside and see how big she gets in 12/12.

Let me know any thoughts or suggestions! :)

Lady is looking beautiful this AM and perked back up after her final LST to allow more light on the rest of the future bud sites.

Clone is still slowly growing and will continue to check the progress on her.

I will unfortunately be leaving for a month during her best flowering moments, and will return back to her early October but I do have someone tending to her feeding schedule. So fingers crossed, I will have some bud to come back to.

If I don’t, it’s been a fun journey and will continue a new indoor and outdoor grow journey. When I return, I will be growing 2 northern lights outdoor and 4 gorilla glue indoors in a 2x2 tent that I’m still looking into.

Wednesday Update:
Ordered a portable greenhouse to keep the plant dry during any rainy days/nights during the remainder of flower. Also going to be placing a dark tarp to ensure none of the neighbors lights will effect the night cycle. Hoping for it to arrive by next weekend.

She’s stretching out right now like crazy, I can’t wait to see her max size!

I will be feeding her later this afternoon. No tobacco dust for this feeding as nitrogen levels seem good and showing no signs of issues.

Feed:
1 gallon RO water with 1 tsp of FF Beasite Bloomz

Thank you :) she’s in a 5 gallon right now, but I didn’t fill it all the way up. I left room to top fill in case I saw any deficiencies but thankfully no issues.

I’ve got one support stick for the main cola, and agreed I will need more. I’ve got 4 more that I will be placing in a circle formation for when the buds get bigger and need supporting. But for now they’re tied down for training purposes until they start packing on.

Cheers!

Update:

I really screwed up…..I thought I was growing mango haze, but I think I mixed up my seeds and labels.

Mango haze is supposed to be a 50/50 and I’ve been noticing that this girl looks and grows like a 100% sativa.

I am almost positive the seeds I have labeled “Sativa Landrace” are actually my mango haze seeds.

I’m not upset, but what do y’all think? Is she looking more like a full Sativa versus a 50/50? If it truly is a Sativa landrace I’m looking at a much longer flower time lol

Thursday update:

Temp:
HIGH: 79
Low: 61
RH: 60%
Rain scheduled in late afternoon/night

Notes:
First noticeable trichomes on some bud sites! Further consensus is this girl isn’t the mango haze, but is actually a Sativa seed from a natural field in Mexico. That was my mixup but either way, I am happy to try some unknown genetics and possible 100% full Sativa high!! If I didn’t LST this baby, she’d be sitting very close to 7” tall.

The pot still seemed to have some weight, and since it was rainy and cloudy yesterday, it didn’t dry out much. Today is nice and sunny so when the sun goes down, I will feed her.

Did a full inspection of soil and plant and haven’t found any bugs or evidence of eaten or diseased leaves! I will be getting some sticky pads for the soil to ensure she’s big free throughout her flower time.

Update:
I won’t be leaving out of town anymore so I will be here for the full flower cycle. Greenhouse should arrive tomorrow or Tuesday.

I’ll be ordering my seeds next week and very excited to start the next batch.

I’m only allowed 6 plants but I’m torn on which ones to start with or just try one of each lol!

Day 22 Flower:

Temp:
High: 81
Low: 63
RH: 68%

Fed her yesterday and she’s drinking a lot now!! Her buds are slowly growing up and trichomes are filling in each spot. Stems are starting to become very stiff, an indication she’s ready to start packing on. It’s going to be a fun 8 weeks coming up :) but I’ll be stoked if she finishes sooner!

I have shitty weather ahead with full week of rain so fighting the humidity is going to be impossible and not fun, hoping her genetics are good against these issues.

I will be honest, I was very hesitant on how she would do at this point since she’s a natural Sativa with unknown genetics. So far, I’m very happy and excited to see the progression of buds and crystals on this one. Fingers crossed she doesn’t hermie up on me.

Portable greenhouse arrives tomorrow but I will need to look into solar fans and exhaust for when it does rain because I have no outside electrical.

This is a first for me in soil so I’m kind of lost on what I’m seeing on these leaves. I fed her 2 days ago with water and BBloomz ph was 6. I don’t have a soil test, but I will order one today. We had a horribly hot day yesterday and looks like it stressed her out but I’m not sure if this is related or if I need to flush the soil.

Any recommendations?
