My plant seems brittle

Hey guys. So I’m just wondering what might cause one of my plants to be much more brittle than the rest. I have been trying to bend and train the branches to keep canopy flat, and I’ve broken two branches doing so. It’s only on one plant my other three don’t seem nearly as bad. Any guesses?

Some plants bend easy some just love to snap. Do you give the branch a little squeeze to kinda crush the fibers a bit before bending?
I've had a few that just didn't like being bent at all and would snap first, painters tape to the rescue many times on my last run.
I read once that silica in DE may help with stem flexibility when added to the soil.
