This is only my second time trying hydro, I noticed what looks like a mutation (self topped). Anyone have any experience with this? I believe the light green was caused by ph being too high and have adjusted ph back to 5.8. Using tap water with ppm starting at 13, gh trio nutrients at 150ppm.

I've seen what seemed like could have been a mutation when seedlings were stressed. One in particular I'm thinking about grew extremely bushy. I grew it to harvest, and the weed was pretty good -- good enough to enjoy. I usually try to recover from my mistakes because it helps me learn how to grow better.

Here's one I grew years ago in greenhouse. Topped itself at first node and grew 2 main colas. Strain was Black Sugar from seedsman.
Wow, looks like it turned out good, I was not sure it i should keep it going or start fresh, I will keep it going and see what happens. Strain is afghan from rocket seeds.

I would keep it going, mutants are fun to watch just to see what happens. The problem with this mutation though is the Y at the first node is naturally weak. You will probably need to support the two main branches when they get bigger. I waited too long and it started splitting down the middle. A little vet wrap fixed it right up though. Was a good smoke, my favorite from that greenhouse grow.
