So as the title says my step dad will be moving my light so I can sell it but he’s an absolute dick and won’t even buy a heat blanket even if I pay for it. So he said whatever tske your chances. So I need to know if this -20 weather for a day in his truck is going to damage it. I mean it’s gotta be in shipping trucks for longer when shipping to people. I’m just worried it will be broken by the time the buyer gets it and I’ll be out 500$. Please any help appreciated.

I wouldn't put it in a bed of a truck unless I absolutely had to, hopefully you will be putting it in the cab.
Use blankets, clothing, etc to keep it protected the best you can.

I would not plug in or turn on the light until it has set for a few hours to warm up to room temp.
Adding current/load to something that's very cold can be disastrous.

I've seen 12v batteries blow up when load tested because temps were to low and the current from the load tester heats it rapidly causing 💣 💥

Bubble wrap it really well doesn’t really tear
Can’t see that doing much in extreme
Cold weather. The box is maxed out so bubble wraps Wouldn’t fit inside I suggested a heated blanket I would pay for but he such a dick he refuses to
Go out of his way for anything for me. So only thing I can think of getting it to work is wrapping it it in what’ve thicke blankets he has

This is confusing. Why not put it in your bedroom? In the basement? Why does it need to be in a truck in -20 degree weather that will definitely kill it overnight. The entire plant ,root ball and all will freeze solid
