Hey guys, newbie here wanting to get involved in growing for personal use and research.

I have an old cabinet 52 cm wide 46 cm deep and 160 cm tall that i wish to convert into a grow space. Are these dimensions ideal for a grow space? What is the ideal number of plants i could fit into this space or is just one ideal?

For lighting I was thinking of going with either a Mars Hydro TS600 or alternatively a non-branded grow LED panel i found on ebay for much cheaper

When looking at the PAR chart for the non-branded LED it seems to be better than the Marshydro but i understand that this could be inaccurate. Ideally i would choose the non-branded version as it also contains UV LEDs that can increase potency, as well as being a much cheaper option. Alternatively the mars hydro is available in my area for pickup and cash payment which seems more discreet.

Happy to hear opinions from experienced growers.

unlike many other forums they arent very into gear porn here..
tbh just go for a decent quantum board you can add some uv in later if you want..
I chose the fecida cr600 because it has a bunch of uv and ir diodes, it was cheap and also has a dimmer and its 120w could def do a few plants under it as its very bright!
many to choose from they all about the same man, dont get sucked into the technical side of it.
Keep it simple..
Quantum boards are the way to go aparantly...
Try supplementing with some uv and ir to your requirements...

Tents are more ideal. However you are fine with a basic light and 4" duct fan. Single plant. Cheap light.

i got a 40cm x 140cm grow going on a tiny £20 carbon filter and the cr600 which I have to turn down to 80|% as its so hot and over powered for such a small space...
whole set up cost me like £130 and will provide me with bud for many years to come I am very happy :-)
the flood lights put out too much heat for a tiny tent
