Okay, so in 2 more days I will be entering week 7 of flowering. I'm growing Indica strains and I've been reading that they usually are 8-9 week plants. I know a lot of people don't believe in flushing, but I am going to do it. I've read a lot about it & watched videos and I feel that it would be beneficial. So, my question is, let's say at the end of week 8, I see that my trichomes are looking cloudy with a few amber, do I start flushing at that point or just before? Should I cut out all nitrogen before that time as well?

Another question I have is, I'm hearing some say (as well as reading articles) that they put their plants in total darkness between 24 & 48 hours prior to harvest. Now, I like to back up what I do with some science as well as common sense, and I have watched Dr Bruce Bugbee several times and I believe he said that he didn't see the science behind putting a plant in darkness for any period before harvest. He said light gives the plant energy, and that completely makes sense to me. Can anyone who supports the 24-48 hours of darkness prior to harvest tell me why they believe it's beneficial?

Anything else you can tell me about what I should, or should not, be doing between 7 weeks in flower until harvest would be much appreciated. Thank you! 😊

Actually, I've since been reading about flushing and I'm not sure I'm going to do it. However, I am concerned that I am going into week 7 of flowering and none of my leaves are turning yellow, none at all. Is it possible they will change in the next week or so? I've been reading about the strains I'm growing and at the most the one is 10 weeks, but the other two are 8-9 weeks. I'm wondering if I should have cut down on the nitrogen. I have never given the exact dosage that Advanced Nutrients recommends, always about half as much, so I can't imagine it's gotten too much, though I have noticed just recently that my tips (just the very ends, not much) are looking like they might have nutrient burn. I'm not sure. I will have to get some photos. I do know that I burned a couple of my plants by letting them get too close to my heater, it hasn't affected the buds (thank goodness). But I'm concerned that I'm not seeing any leaf colour change.
Just for the record, I wanted to delete this thread and re-word it, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. Sorry for the confusion.

Leaves don't always fade. And plants don't always finish when breeders claim they will. Just grow them until the trichomes are what you want and chop.
