I'd be even more surprised if it could surpass the capabilities of a skilled cannabis farmer. But, if it has little robots that can prune, defoliate, and repair split branches, I would be impressed.You’d be surprise at the capabilities machine learning and visual recognition.
I have no doubt that there's a place for automation in cannabis growing. My tents all have automated environment control, but it's limited to that. More could be done if I weren't disinclined to spend more. We may see such deep-pocketed technological investments when the corporations control the means of production and machine labor is less costly than human labor. When they do, however, many of us will still be growing our own, because a machine can't provide the satisfaction of planting a seed, nurturing it, and watching it grow.
