I'm gonna keep track of this run because it's a new setup. Took down the smaller flower room and cleaned up the mess to make a new bigger flower room. The Cherries and Cheese ladies are hanging and I left the grow room alone for a couple days. This place hasn't been used in years and needed to be cleaned and insulated. It's been below zero for a week and my poor girls veggin' along down there were getting <50 degree nights. Shitty. I insulated the place, closed up one of the intakes and went spray foam crazy in all the seams and anywhere I felt cold. I also got the radiant heat back up and running, thank God. Now I can keep it controlled and the plants are bouncing back, they were looking quite sickly a couple days ago. I set up the lights for going into flower, just gonna run them on 50% until the plants recover fully. I think I am going to stick with LEDs and leave out the HPS now that I've got the place insulated. Might run a mix of the two, don't know, just wingin' it.
Here's what it's looking like, still a work in progress. The plants are looking way better than they did two days ago.

Organic amended pro mix and Coco. Bunch of different strains. Water with a hose. Quantum boards with 3000k, 5000k, 660nm, 730nm, UVB florescents. Running it as a semi sealed room with a dehuey and heat. I still have to get the old 240v outlets and pool timer working, then I can run some lights on that and free up some 120 outlets for the extractor fan and filter. I've got time. I'll keep you posted.

I think that's all of them.

The chemdog Millionaire and the french macarons have double serrations. First time I've seen it in person.

The Chemdog Millionaire Guava is from expert seeds, if I remember correctly. The freebie seeds were Blue Venom, Sweet Zombie, and Super Shark (forgot to take a pic).

Today I mixed about half a bucket of pro mix and a couple handfuls of bone meal and about double that of flower girl. Mixed it all up and top dressed two handfuls per plant then watered. I think I'm gonna give them a kelp foliar at lights out, never tried that before. And then I think I'm gonna flip them. Whatchu think? The old leaves still show evidence of the cold shock they underwent, but they have bounced back nicely and I don't want to get them too big. There are two sativas that look like they are gonna stretch to six feet. Might have to put them on the floor.

Also found out it's a no go on the old 240v outlets. That breaker is running something else now. I do have an unused 240 breaker in another panel that I might be able to use, if I can find a way to run a wire without opening up walls. I'm probably just gonna run the lights up to 70% which will give me about 1000-1100 watts and then use my little fan and filter for now, only pulls 36 watts. That should keep me safely within the load parameters of the outlets I do have available. Not ideal, but neither is a fire in the grow room. Unless maybe I can surface mount a hidden wire to bring 240 to the grow room, I don't want to tear into walls. I think I can get away with 1000 watts, that would give me around 30w/ft2. More light is more better though, we'll see what I come up with.

Plant update, defoliated the plants and got rid of the puny undergrowth that's want getting light. They have really recovered from the cold incident and are ready to go into flower. The last crop is trimmed, ready to go into grove bags today.

I ended up not foliar feeding, never done it, don't feel like it yet. I mixed up 5 gallons of water with these mixed in

Yeah, I got that fox farm bottle at the thrift store for 4 bucks. Smells like the real deal, but who knows, could be a fake someone bought. I read about that somewhere. The floralicious was like 7 bucks at the hydro store.

Figured it couldn't hurt during the stretch. Depending on if there is any negative response, I will probably do this again in a few weeks. Next water I plan on using malted barley, great source of enzymes. Grind right before top dressing and watering in. I've read that fulvic acid helps with the barley, but I don't have any.

Plants feel like they need water again today. Crushed up a bunch of barley and mixed in a bit of water to make a paste, top dressed the plants. I just crack them up with a mortar and pestle, nothin fancy.

Then I put a handful of worm castings in the bucket and filled with water. Watered in the barley with the casting water, then fully hydrated the pot with the hose. They are definitely drinking a bunch, and they might be too big for the three gallon pots. But they sure look nice 😎.

The lights:
Viparspectra 240w with lm561c diodes (3000k, 5000k, 660nm)
IMG 20211203 224548033

Kingbrite boards 2x240w and a 320w. The 320w has lm301h, the 240w boards have 301b, 3000k w/ 660nm. The strips on the wall are 75w total, 660nm. And two growmau pucks in 730nm, I run those 15 mins before lights on and 15 mins after lights off.

Another Viparspectra 200w with lm281b diodes, 3000k, 5000k, 660nm.
IMG 20211203 224516876

My newest light, Optic 2 gen 4 200w. Cree Xlamp cxb3590 cobs, 3000k and 5000k. Lm301h in 3500k, Cree XPE in 460nm and 660nm, one IR diode and one UVA diode.
IMG 20211203 224500581

I would not have bought this light new because of the price, nearly 400 bucks. I got it on eBay, like new for 150. I wanted to check out cobs to see if I like them, but I didn't want to spend too much because I can get kingbrite boards for a lot less than a dollar a watt and cobs are usually more than a dollar a watt even if you build them. The Optic got me into the cob game at less than a dollar a watt, and I can always replace chips as the burn out. The plants love that light and it is bright for 200w. Behind the optic is a two foot, two bulb t5ho fixture with Agromax pure UV tubes.
AgroMax Spectrum Pure UV T5 Lamp
UV led diodes are UVA. UVB is what triggers trichome production. I run that for an hour, right in the middle of the plants day, to simulate the sun being directly overhead.

All the lights are dimmed to around 65-70%
