If you were using fertigation as an irrigation technique then I would be more concerned with how much your plants are taking up but they look fine other than the few stragglers that are showing leaf edge damage.

Your feed PPM seems low. I use FloraNova for my bases and I usually am running around 1000 -1,200 ppm.

Plants look healthy and happy.

So what really got me using such a low ppm is another grower w 35 yrs under his belt w just insane results. Never breaks 500ppm. See if I can add a pic of his grow...it'll be half of his 4x8 so only a 4x4, same results on other side of 4x4. Insane. 3.5 lbs per side.

Pulling 6-7lbs w a 5 wk veg and 9 wk flower. After seeing this I reached out to him on a personal level. His guidance has been priceless. Still lots to learn. I'm not copying his grow, just learning from it.

Very Nice. Not knocking your mentors method but I like to err on the side of caution when it comes to food. I use a synthganic approach to feeding my plants. I use salt based fertilizers in amended organic soils. I find this combination decreases the chances of deficiencies and keeps the plant in growth mode rather than recovery mode. Last run in the 5 x 5 I pulled around 5 lbs with 5 plants. Next run I'm going to let the verticals go taller to increase the dry yields. Hopefully I can pull 2 a plant.

I've tested my ferts in a petrie dish and organic life just shrugged and continued growing so microbial life stays intact with the nutes I use.

Very nice. I was just in awe a 4-5 wk veg from the time they pop through the soil. Blew my mind. Dry weight mind u. Only botanicare, no boosters. Just some calmag.
Nice looking plants .
Your indoor grow medium needs to match/replicate everything that is in Topsoil.
Topsoil being is 50% crystalline silica ,5% nutrients. Your plants need all the nutrients, Macro nutrients NPK , intermediate nutrients like Cal Mag and all the micronutrients like boron, zinc, iron copper, plus Silica Gold and Earth alive/Active earth (bacteria) in order to get the best, weed possible.
Glade, you added 20% perlite. Drainage is a priority when growing in what is considered organic soil.

I mix in 40% topsoil, sand, pea gravel to FF Strawberry Fields

That's just INSANE man! I've grown lots of 1lb plants outdoors. They're always 5' tall and every bit as big around. Can't imagine 5 of em in a 5x5 area. That's epic man.

Gram.per watt

Not sure as I don't measure my power usage but I had 3 COB style lights hanging. Two 250w and one 200w so I had 750w of power at my disposal but I had them dialed back to probably around 450w - 500w between the three. One of them is an old school blurple.

This next run I'm going to replace the three with one 650w bar light for better edge coverage.

Thanks. It was fun and I learned a lot on this grow. Always learning!!

I always used lava rock myself. Really made the soil porous and airy. Plus lava rock absorbed the water/nutes I was pouring in. If by chance I was late on watering the roots crawled into rock for a little drink. I'm a big outside grower. Amended a 5 gal bucket of goodness w lava rock, dug a giant hole and filled it up and planted In it. They blow up for 4-6 wks before I have to fertilizer.

2 plants per 4x8 tent, couple pounds per plant 1280 watts , HLG rspec
I want to turn that 25lbs a yr like that old man in his 4x8. He's got years over me. Idk if I could ever get to his level though. He's running 2 gavita 1700. I'll try like hell though. He's hitting 2.3-2.5 gpw. I know ppl do more, but that's not shabby for a single part fert and promix.

No wonder. Gavita 1700E Pro is one of the lights I'm looking to buy.

25lbs annually in a 4 x 8 should be no problem. Does your mentor use seed or clone? Does he use a rotation or does he veg in the same 4 x 8?

If he has a separate tent to veg he can cut out 4 weeks from each of his harvests and gain an extra harvest annually.

I had a small rotation setup with the 5 x 5. I was using two 2 x 2 tents. One to house mothers and the other I could veg the clones until they were ready to go into their final pots while the run in the big tent was finishing up. Another 2 weeks of veg arranging the branches under the net and letting the roots grow into their new home then into flip.

Most importantly though is what genetics is he growing? Is he using one pheno or does he grow multiple cultivars? I have a lot of seeds I want to grow but I'd love to pick up a cultivar called Light of Jah. Supposedly they caution you to use yo yo's to support the branches the flowers get so heavy.....

All in 1 tent. 12 of 1 cultivar, 12 of another. All from seed. He does have a 2nd room if he has few lagging behind when he's ready for new batch he moves slow pokes in there to finish. He's almost 70yo. Old n tired. Does it as easy as he can. 25# is enough for him annually. Room is 12x4. 4x4 in center to stand at and reach both sides. He's tripled production since moving from hid to gavita...in 1st run. He's banned from here but has few grows on roll it up. His orange gasm run has over 150k hits. sshz he goes by. I was lucky enough to reach out to him and get a response. I try not to bug, just pick his brain.
