Hey all,
Wanted to get your advice as I’m going to do up a soil mix tomorrow. So far I have this mix as follows:
1/3 peat moss/shrimp compost combo (30l bags)
1/3 aeration
10% worm castings (don’t want to make the mix too heavy and considering there is shrimp compost in the base mix)
1/2 cup of oyster shell flour per cuft,
cup of insect frass per cubic ft
1 cup of kelp meal per cufoot.
Watering with 1ml of em1 per litre.
Letting cook for about 3-4 weeks with a compost tea to boost microbial life at 2 weeks.
Using coco/perlite for first 3 weeks with no food. I’m planning on using 3 gallons so can’t add worms but hopefully the humus in the worm castings is enough.
Hopefully I’m on the right track but please chime in if there’s anything else I need/any advice you can share. Open to learning always!
