Hey everybody. Like the title says, new to the forum and to growing. I’m currently using a 4’ by 4’ Vivosun tent w/a 400w Vivosun light. I have proper carbon filter and exhaust, as well as 3 fans keeping things moving. I have a temp and humidity sensor, and the tent is kept at around 72-76 degrees w/humidity at around 55-60. I have 2 plants. I topped them early on, and LST’d them throughout to keep things even. I’ve been using FloraNutrients trio (flora grow, micro, and bloom) throughout as well.

So I feel like I’ve done a great job for my first grow. What do you think so far? They’ve looked beautiful the entire time to me. BUT early on when I topped the main branch I didn’t do the plant on the right correctly, cause there are like 4 branches in the middle longer than the rest. I just flipped it to flower a few days ago and they started stretching big time. I know my lights not the strongest as it is so I don’t want to have to put the light too high, any suggestions on what to do with these branches that are stretching longer than the rest? I’m trying to keep the light around 12” from all of em.
Otherwise what do you guys think of it overall? Any other suggestions? I would really appreciate any responses. The last pics are after I just thinned it out.

Welcome to the farm. You're off to a great start!

I don't worry about the long stems if they have enough space. If not, sometimes I prune them back if it's still early in stretch. When I do, I try to prune so there's only a single stem. They can also be bent or super-cropped. To do that, pinch and bend the stem to damage the inner fibers, but leave the outer lining intact.

they look decent bro. if anything you could pop a trellis on them and just help the light get in as much as possible and pull the tallest ones outwards to level it a bit. good job though they should give ya some nice flowers 👍

Thank you all so much for your replies and positive comments. I think this is going to be a life long hobby, I’m not even done w/this grow and I’m sooo eager to start the next.

Looking forward to interacting with y’all. Thanks again.

Your best bet is to scrog them as it causes very little stress if any?, you can use trellis netting(string type/cut to fit) from local hardware/garden center or buy an elastic type (amazon/vivosun, etc.)(buy 2 is a smart choice for double layers) how tall is that 4 x 4 I know there is a Tall and a Short Version(5ft), looks like you got room enough for some stretch... yes Lifelong hobby, many of Us are lifer's...good 1st grow!
