Not sure what im growing auto or photo

hi everyone so got some mystery seeds and not sure if I can top these plants if it comes down that there autos. Not sure if there is a physical or visual way to tell. My other grows have been clones this is my first seed grow. Any advice would help this rookie. Sprouts on 5/14/21

Here's a couple of pics. I was told it was wedding cake but the seller wasn't a 100% sure they were given to me so I'm getting info indirectly

Watch for pistils and if they are autos you will start seeing them around the 4 - 5 week mark from sprout. I’m also assuming you are running lights @18/6 or more. Autos don’t care about the light schedule when they start flowering.

Well you are a little over three weeks in now. If they are autos you should see pistils in the next week or two. If you don’t then I would assume them to be photo’s.

there just at 22 days approximately from seed so another week or 2 and I should have my answer your saying?

Yes another week or two you’ll have your answer. You want to look at the nodes down the stem. They’ll pop out at first around the 4th and 5th nodes. When you see them at the top as you circled she’ll be well into flower at that point.

It’s not recommended in most circles of growers. Some people do top them though. I don’t, I use LST with good success.

Many growers think you should not top/fim auto as to not introduce stress since the plant only lives around 3 months. In reality, that is a false statement. I trim / train many of my auto plants.
As a grower, you know the health of your plant. Healthy plants fare well. Unhealthy plants will suffer. If the are healthy, top them before the FLOWERS COME...this is the PERFECT TIME to trim. Remember, only trim a small amount...then feed...

GSC auto - from a 1 gal pot

these are just a few...I grow auto mainly with a few photo here and there. I like the variety, simplicity and for a 1 gal pot, I can grow 50 in my tent (4x8x7 tall)
