I know everyone says to grow photo's for your first few runs. I really want to dial this shit in. So I planted my LSD 25 August 29th. This is as tall as she is after all that time. She is throwing pre flower already and she's 5 inches tall. How do I get my autos to grow faster?

Going to need a little more information to help. I don’t grow autos but at first glance, I’d say may be light schedule, intensity and watering habits have stunted the growth. Can you provide more details on your setup, watering practices, light, intensity and distance?

This is going to sound like a snotty answer, but you have to do everything right. In particular, light, water, and nutes have to be in balance. That's the issue with autos for newer growers...no time to figure things out. They flower when they flower.

Not a "snotty answer" it's the truth. I've done shit auto grows cause i did'nt care as much about their enviornment as i should of.

Looks like a pest issue, possibly the largest spider mite I’ve ever seen.

I'm not a super experienced grower but not over watering is very important.

Soil should be pretty dry before the next watering, a lot of times pale green leaves indicate over watering.

Just out of curiosity, did you grow in this pot only, or did you transplant at any point? ✌️

Give them as much light, water and nutrients as possible. I've only grown one so far. I also have three more sprouts in nursery cups (and one looks like it's not going to make it). My impression after growing the first is amazement at how fast they grow. My first was a gelato (from RQS) and the weed is excellent. The 1.5-ounce yield was lower than expected, though. So, my conclusion is that I didn't give it enough of what it needs. I also think the soil didn't promote root growth very well. It was a beautiful plant, though.

Dunno 'bout that bro. IME, autos need LESS nutrients. I'd go 1/4 strength. And gradually increase the light. If the plant seems 'tired' (droopy leaves) after 16 hours, the light is too high.

It appears to me that your plant has been triggered already to start flowering. Many things can trigger an auto into premature flowering...too small a pot, too much water, too much light.

The key to autos is 'less is more'

Out of my last 2x grows, 1 of 3 plants have dwarfed like this. I had an Amnesia auto do it, and this time a Gorilla Cookies is doing it. I have another Gorilla Cookies growing normal right next to it, sprouted at the same time. 1st pic is of the Amnesia auto, as soon as I topped it, it went straight into flowering, no vegging at all. Got 11 grams dried out of the entire plant. But! it was by far the best Sativa I myself have personally smoked in over 30 years. It seemed with fewer budsites to supply, it just got super strong for the few it had. It was done in 60 days, 99% milky trichomes, 1% amber. It was a mind warping high.

The 2nd pic below is my Gorilla Cookies doing the same thing, except I didn't top it, and I didn't stress it at all. I'll get about the same eight from this one of about 10g, I'm just hoping its potent like the Amnesia was.
Dwarf Gorilla Cookies

3rd Pic is of the same GC seeds (back right) small, but growing normally, sprouted at the same time as the dwarfed one, raised in the same tent, same nutes, same conditions as the other plant.

The Gorilla Cookies (back right) vegged a lot more, I didn't do any LST on it either, I wanted to know if I was stunting them, so I'm letting them grow free this time. The plant to the Left is my Durban Poison/BlueBerry, I coiled that one like a snake, and it's doing very well.

The only thing that I can settle on that is making my autos go random dwarfs. Is my temps, I cannot get a stable temp in my grow room, it goes from 68f-82f quite often. The humidity is easy, I stay at 80% for seedlings, 70-75% vegging, and drop it below 50% for flowering.

Autos are quick, but they're a pain in the arse too. You get zero time to fix mistakes before it hurts your yield. I started growing them thinking they were easier, but you need to have a rigid plan with autos, and be meticulous to get the best out of them. After my auto seeds are done, I switching to Photos where you're more in control and have time to correct mistakes.

So if you're temps are constantly going up and down like mine, this could maybe be your issue too?

You're talking synthetic nutrients. I don't use them, so your advice is better than mine. I'm not sure what the OP is using, TBH.

This might be the best advice:

Dialing in the growth factors is true for photos, as well, but with autos it's critical.

After growing photos for years, I still didn't do as well as expected with my first auto. I decided to grow more. They're definitely a different style of growing, though.

To many questions to answer. Watering is hard to figure out for a seedling to me. Growing in its forever pot the top dries out but pot is still wet. Am I using to big of pot? I am unhappy with my soil prep. Im Growing organic with Gaia Green and know it should have been better. Used a different soil than i have ever used also. It ended up pretty muddy. The light is hard to manage. Do you just increase it weekly. I turned mine up a little and the plant started drooping after a couple hours. I need to get my fucking shit together over here! Lol. I grew an auto in my bathtub that did good. Not great but good. Just not taking my time. Thank you all.

Don't understand why anyone would grow autos, They don't make sense IMO
For example I start my plants off in a small veg room under about 20w of light for the first 3 weeks seedling/clones
next 5 weeks I keep them under 100w watt of light on 24/7
first first week in flower i keep the 2 plants under 200w and then increase the wattage to about 600w for the next 6 weeks and then back down to 100w last week
week 1-3 veg 24(hours) x 21(days)x (w)0.02Kwh = 10.8kwh, 10.8kwh x (kwh)£0.22 = £2.37
week 4-8 veg 24(hours) x 35(days)x (w)0.10Kwh = 84kwh, 84kwh x (kwh)£0.22 = £18.48
week 1 flower 12(hours) x 7(days)x (w)0.20Kwh = 16.8kwh, 16.8kwh x (kwh)£0.22 = £3.69
week 2-7 flower 12(hours) x 42(days)x (w)0.6Kwh = 302kwh, 302kwh x (kwh)£0.22 = £66.44
week 8 flower 12(hours) x 7(days)x (w)0.20Kwh = 16.8kwh, 16.8kwh x (kwh)£0.22 = £3.69

That's a total of £94.67 per crop, often I take cuttings so there nearly free.
( you could veg plants for 4 weeks and flower, taking the total time down to 12 weeks and reducing the cost in electric)

Auto take 10 weeks or more from what I have read (lights on 20 hours per day, 10 weeks) and the electric cost 22p per kwh
week 1-10, 20(hours) x 70(days)x (w)0.6Kwh = 840kwh, 840kwh x (kwh)£0.22 = £185
then you need a pack of seeds, that's over £200 per crop.

I can spend the extra time really training my plants and pull over double the crop per plant, I run my lights at night so high day time temps is never a problem 9 months of the year, keep my fan speed low, in turn the heater uses a low amount of electric,

so auto's use well over double the electric and are hit and miss
As the fan speeds is likely to be on full to keep the room under 30c at the hottest parts of the day, heaters are going to use loads when the lights are off.

Even thought about plant count, often I grow 2 plants in my flower room, so in total I have 5 plants, 3 clones/plants in veg and 2 in flower.
guessing you would flower 10 plants off in a 2.2m x 1m room.

You need to learn how to read your plants as they tell a story, so that's look at your plant, the leaves are green and so is the stem, it looks healthy so the chances are the temps/humidity are in range(they turn purple when stressed) the leaves look healthy so can't see any nute burn and the leaves look healthy and green so what's going on, what's cause the slow growth, if your temps on the lower side say 20c its happy but will grow slow, as you increase the temps upto 30c the growth speeds up.

that's talk about the amount of light your plants getting, I would use your phone and down load a lux meter, its not perfect but it really helps, the plants need more that 30,000 lux, if its getting say 20,000 lux it will look healthy but the plant will stretch for the light and there will be a few inches between each set of leaves.

low temps and low light intensity will case your plant to grow slow and look just like yours.

Yeah, I don't use them either. A few years ago I did grow some autos with synthetics though. And thats one lesson I learned pretty fast. I am growing a couple autos now though because I got the seeds from a buddy that wanted me to test them out.

All of these are autoflowers, my advice is to do as little as possible. Out of the last 10 plants I've grown netted 32.36 ounces of smokeable weed. All mephisto genetics.
