Nutes/dry amendments for FFOF soil?

Hello,

Using fox farms ocean forest which I know has some nutrients. My hope is to avoid nutrient feed during a 4 wk veg. And I would like to add some sort of slow release dry amendments to the soil to carry through flower. Is this feasable, suggestions? Shoul I just provide liquid nutes the whole time, if so what kind? I feel lost when at the store looking and store teams always want me to leave with $80+ worth of nutes which seems unnecessary.

This idea came from watching Mr. Canmuck on YouTube using gia green 4-4-4 and compost teas. But I am lost on the feeding schedule where liquid nutes have a weekly feed chart.
